I tried three different brands first because these jars are significantly more expensive than the other jars. Now that I've tried these, I completely understand and approve of the price. The jars are thinner, taller and lighter than the other brands. This makes for much more efficient storage.For example, The others' tall jars are 62 or 68 oz. And because they are wider, they're too short for long pasta. So I have to break the pasta in half to get it to fit, leaving me with a whole bunch of wasted space inside the jar. Plus, breaking the pasta means taking up more space (wdth), so I *might* be able to squeeze 2 lbs in a jar.. These jars, at 72 oz, let me comfortably store 3 lbs of long pasta without breaking or leaving unnecessary space inside the jar.Moreover, with the tightner's ergonomic design, I don't need to ruin my manicure or use my STEM degrees to seal the jar. My hands and stress level thank you!Also, the light weight makes moving things around my pantry really easy.

I'm really happy with this purchase. I got it to store coffee beans. It's sleek, modern looking and looks great on my counter. The only thing is I wish the spoon it came with was silver to match the lid rather than rose gold. I don't mind though. I think it's going to keep my coffee beans fresh and I can use the spoon as a measuring spoon for other things too. Another thing is I wish it was a little larger, but that's my bad for not checking the measurements before ordering. But still, I'm very happy with this container.

I guess it’s my fault for ordering this and expecting it to be larger. I needed it for our coffee beans to help keep them fresh. I read that it holds 30oz and the coffee bag I get is also 30oz so I figured it would be perfect. Well, I didn’t think about 30oz in beans being different than 30oz of ground coffee. So now half of the bag of coffee beans doesn’t fit and has to stay in the bag or a baggie. Not really ideal or what I was wanting but the container is nice looking and functional. Again, I guess it’s my fault. I also wish the container had something to hold the spoon.

Looks good (even better after sealing the wood with mineral oil/wax). Nice feel, nice size, nice seal. I use it to hold Semolina and Bread flour to throw pinches on my work-board when making pasta or bread.

Received the jar, and was very pleased with the quality. The jar was a nice heavy weight and great height. I was really happy with it!!

Started making my own vanilla extract. This particular jar is great for what I hope to be decades of diy vanilla extract.UPDATE:Been “brewing” my vanilla extract for 18 months now. Went to shake it up a bit and the top of the glass had cracked from one side to the other. It’s never actually been opened. You don’t need to open, only swirl the jar a bit. Now I’m afraid that 18 months and $$ will be wasted if I open to transfer to another jar. Glass fragments could wind up in the extract.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my husband and he loves it! It’s worth the price with how it looks and how well it seals to keep coffee fresh! Great quality and well made too. Looks great on our counter top!

This is exactly as described. We are using it to store oatmeal. It's a bit small for that purpose, unless you have a cramped cupboard like we do.
