I've used 6mm, 8mm and 12mm plastic comb bindings, it probably can use others too.

Can you use metal and plastic binding?

Only Plastic. For metal you need to buy some other product.

Will this bind laminated paper??

Yes it will but I would punch them one at a time.

Are binding combs re-cycleable?

Yes, recycle them, you can also reuse them on another document
