Awesome sauce
I got into 'turf farming' this year maintaining over 2acres of cool season grass and tried several different products over the course of the growing season. I started in April with a full renovation that started in the previous fall killing off the grass and dormant seeding and then again spring seeding. After grass started growing I could quickly tell that This Simple Lawn Solutions 6-0-0 was going to be my Go-To fertilizer for maintaining the turf year after year. Within a day or 2 of applying the 6-0-0- booster a couple different times during the year, it was noticeably darker and lasted until it grew out and was cut off. After comparing and doing more research I've come to the conclusion that this is the best stuff to get even in place of buying chelated iron separately. This stuff is 5% iron and if you compare prices on other gallons of iron its similar but the iron is much more. for 32k sqft coverage you could spend about $130 on 4 gals of iron vs $99 for this in 2.5 gals and have more micronutrients to boot. Plus you need that Nitrogen for the grass to help utilize that iron and its only 6% so you dont get that huge punch in your face growth. Instead you get healthy and much deeper dark green for neighborhood domination!! highly recommend it.While the Jug says use up to 4oz per 1000sqft and good for 32k sqft on 2.5 gals, I typically will fill my 40 gal tank with 3oz to a gal or about 1 gal of the booster to 39 gals of water. then I'll spray up to 80k sqft. Its a thinner layer but then I can do it more often like 2wks apart if desired vs 4wks in one heavier shot. Customer support at SLS is very helpful and respond to emails typically the same day. I included a recent photos to show its darkness after 3 days. I'm impressed. To those that have poor results, you must be doing something wrong. I have Midnight KBG and PRG blend freshly seeded from spring. Yes spring seeding can be done. I'm over-seeding now and pound the Simple lawn solutions in a 1 - 2 punch of 6-0-0 and 16-4-8 with great results. Granted there's more to turf health than just spraying and praying. You have to get your soil right but this stuff is awesome.

It works and it is easy to apply
I am one of very few people in the neighborhood that doesn't use a "pro" service to take care of my yard. We are just coming out of a dry cold Winter in Central Oregon, and it takes a bit for lawns to get going. I bought the sprayer bottle as a sample to try this stuff out. Application was easy and controllable. Neighbors have the pros putting down pellets that remain for weeks on sidewalks and roads with poor control of application. I used to sweep up all over-application when I used pellet fertilizer on my lawn. This stuff makes my lawn stand out with a nice greening up, while all the neighbors' lawns still look like crap, even early in our growing season, even though I am frugal with watering. (I do mulch mowing too, which the pros do not do). You have to apply more often than time release pellets, but it is so easy with the hose end sprayer that it is not a big deal. My vote of confidence is buying the gallon size for refills of the sprayer. Highly recommended!

Good product
The product was easy to apply and has made my grass come alive. It was lacking some minerals and this definitely helped. I will buy this product again

Just spray and done
I noticed the moss from the yard had decided to migrate onto the landscaping rock and into my vegetable garden this year. I knew how to get rid of it and decided to give this stuff a try. Believe it or not, I sprayed it on those areas and it went from mossy green to instant brown. I couldn’t believe how fast it worked. And my plants are thriving. I’m not a dirt expert but I do know you need to lime all the time. If you don’t you get moss. But at some point you need to stop it from crossing the unwanted path. Liquid is faster than granules so I will be keeping this on hand to keep the little bit of sunshine that gets through all these trees fruitful.

Not impressed
After applying this product (both iron and fertilizer) I waited two weeks before concluding. Each year I dabble with lawn care products trying to find the most practical, effective, efficient, affordable options. I am an assistant greens keeper at a private CC so, I’m quite familiar with turf and turn management products and what results to expect. This product was affordable, easy to use, but the results were almost not noticeable. To put things in context, my yard is densely shaded and 80 percent of my grass are fescues. Some poa, some rye that get ample sun but the only grass I can get fully established are the tall/fine and hard fescues. In the shadiest spots is where I applied these products and was hoping to see the foliage become stronger, fuller, and regrettably I admit there’s little to no difference. Like I said, I waited weeks before I dare leave a negative review and the root systems are not any stronger than they were three weeks ago. And the weather has been IDEAL for cool season grasses. Cool, humid, the soil is moist each morning and therefore I can’t excuse the poor results. It’s very rare I leave negative reviews but in this case, with the below average expected results lead me here. Note: I applied this product at about 10 to 15 percent ABOVE the recommended application rate. I will probably try this product again because I truly believe in second chances especially after leaving a negative review. Hopefully this helps.

It works!!!! I've always used Ironite however, this worked great and is less expensive
I've always used Ironite however there seems to be a shortage of it in Raleigh, NC. I used to use the granular however I learned from a lawn pro that the liquid works better because the iron will not breakdown in liquid so you get more iron vs. granular. This takes a few days to a week to notice the difference but in August even my bermuda starts to look a little beat up so after putting this on my lawn I'm the envy of the neighborhood.Give it a go, it is a small investment to make your lawn look great.Oh, I bought the smaller hose connector spray bottle to use with the gallon size but it didn't work very good the next time.... You can skip the small size and just put your Ortho Dial 'N Spray on 3 ounces and that works just fine.
