I literally could not believe this rug, when it arrived.This is 100% wool, seems really nice, 9' x 12', clearly it's machine made and does not have the super fine backing that you expect in expensive rugs, but this rug is amazing (I mean I'm literally amazed) for what it is for the price. The pile is at least a half inch think, and I'm not getting any pilling thus far. This rug could literally have been two, maybe three, times this price and I would have been overjoyed with what I got. I've bought a log of rugs in my day, and I swear this must be a price error. This is really great.Also, if you've bought rugs online before, you'll know that rugs always seem to be 0.5-2.0 units less brightly colored than the pictures suggest. This rug is pretty close to the pictures you're seeing...only a touch less vibrant.

UPDATE: I picked up the corner of the rug to vacuum. The rug made a continuous black mark on the under lying carpet. The black color on the edge of the rug has come off on to the carpet. Pet stain remover with peroxide has had no effect on removing the black line. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OLD REVIEW:This rug is wool, not poly- whatever synthetic fiber. Usually, wool rugs cost more than synthetic fiber. The pattern is not fuzzy. The colors are vibrant and it's THICK. The edges seem to be bound well, they don't look as if they will unravel. There is always a bit of shedding from cutting the pile even, so I am watching closely to make sure the shed fibers are short -- not long which would mean they were pulled out from the backing.

If you have anything alive living in your home that has hair/ fur, do NOT buy this rug! It is gorgeous, don't get me wrong! But it is a literal MAGNET for fur! I have three cats, and three dogs but only one of the dogs sheds. The others...one is a Mexican Hairless and the other is a terrier mix who is damn near bald himself, and barely sheds. However, this rug seems to pick up EVERY single shed of hair, dander, soot, etc. and it SHOWS, something awful! I had seen some reviews, saying the pile strays, but I haven't had that problem. It's just the severe attraction of hair/fur/ANY crap it seems to have. And it's also difficult to vacuum to where I'm even able to suck it all up- and I own a Kirby! I've another Savavieh rug, and haven't had such issues, but my other one is a lot older, and perhaps of higher quality, ? Not sure...Again, for the price- this is a lovely wool rug. But not recommended to pet owners. I got one at my local Ross that looks similar in color/texture, and was $9! Not wool, not the same quality- but doesn't look like ass a day after I just vacuumed it.

This rug was even better than I could have every hoped. For the price, you cannot go wrong.The pattern matches the picture shown on the listing perfectly. The pattern is nicely detailed. The colors are very close if just a bit darker to what is shown online.The rug is quite thick (1/2") and plush under the foot. This is a heavy, quality feeling and looking rug.My wife and I spent a weekend shopping around at rug dealers in town and a rug like this in apparent quality and beauty would have cost $2000-$3000. Obviously, this rug doesn't have that pedigree (whether the region of the world the rug hails from, or its handmade nature) but no one will know the difference once it is sitting on your floor surrounded by your furniture.In the end, I love this rug.*Edit*I've had this run for three years now. Still looks amazing. Best rug purchase so far. Still sheds some, but not bad. A good vaccuming to get up the shed and the dog hair from my two pups and it looks new again.

My rug was delivered in excellent condition, packaging was perfect, no winkles! Very thick100%wool pile...lovely pattern!!! And looks much more expensive than it was!!! Don’t know why other reviews had complaints....I’ve included photo taken 10 Minutes after I opened it!!!

This is the fifth rug of this pattern that we have purchased for our new condo. It is just perfect! No odor at all to this one, it arrived quickly, and it is flattening out nicely as I sit here. True, there is a little difference between rugs of this pattern......probably due to a mix of old stock and newer pieces. The pattern is just slightly different here and there within the various colored panels from rug to rug, the colors in all the rugs are far more muted than what is shown here (we knew that as we had an older [far older] version that sparked the buying frenzy for the condo), and yes, the new rug will shed like a fiend for the first month or so. However, for the price, these are standouts......they are standouts, period. We have a distinctly Victorian/Steampunk/Gothic style to our home, and the deep. rich, dark colors of these rugs highlight all of our design efforts perfectly. This rug was, like all rug orders we have had from Amazon, carefully delivered to our front door, well-wrapped for the journey to us. Bravo!

This oval shaped rug is amazingly heavy, wonderfully thick under the feet, and gorgeous in the room. The colors in the rug I received are somewhat warmer (redder) than the product image. The result is that it fits even better in the bedroom that I expected. At 1/2 inch thick, I anticipate that it will also provide substantial R-Value to better insulate the floor that's above the garage. Although it'll take about 20 years to realize an energy ROI, the improvement in the aesthetic of the room makes it totally worth it. The craftsmanship is also much better than I expected for a rug in this price-range. Rather than being bot-perfect, it has enough subtle variation to look comfortably part of my human home.

Originally bought in Nov 2020. I am very happy with the quality. Read the negative reviews before purchasing a second one. Even after a year, I did not have the shedding nor smell issues that were mentioned in negative reviews. The colours are vibrant. I hope my second one is as good as the first.The 2nd one arrived January 22 2022. So far very happy with both.
