I work on cell phones, tablets, and computers and this makes my job so much easier, ensuring that none of the screws roll off and the fact that I can draw on it and make notes to where some parts have to go back for confusing devices makes it amazingly easier.

There is nothing magnetic about this pad, whatsoever.I just used it for the first time to sort some screws. [Yes, they were ferrous.] Granted, this board was purchased over a year ago. So, I guess you could say, if there were ever any magnetic qualities to the pad, they did not last.

I can put a paper clip on this.. a SMALL paper clip, lift it and it slides right off -so there's no glip to keep it in place even when flat. On the back side it will stick but not well. I guess this might work for VERY small screws which I understand but I was hoping for something that could hold larger items... at least a paper clip's worth of weight

Good size to use with a small laptop. Not a strong hold, so don't think you can move or tilt this and have screws stay in place. Left flat it will keep screws in position.

Almost perfect, anti static, with magnetic mat, keep screws from rolling around. Just wish it was a bit bigger, the motors seem to roll off the sides if moved much at all.

bought for my husband as a gift for when he works on small parts for his "toys".. very nice. I've used it as well when working with jewelry repairs. cleans up very easy, and we store it on the side of the fridge for easy access.
