Initial impression - Assembly
Item arrived well packaged and undamaged. I will have to update this review once I get to use it, to see if and/or how well it works.I don't mind something taking a long time to complete, if that's just what it takes. This, however, was a different story. The 'picture only' directions are not always clear. A couple of steps the image was not large enough to understand what you were supposed to do.The biggest setback was that there was a part missing. It wasn't a part that we could continue to assemble the grill and just order a replacement part. It was a screw rivet that held the main body of the grill to the base on the front left corner. I had to go to the hardware store to see if I could find a suitable replacement. I could not find the exact same missing piece, but I did get a washer and nut that fit the screw. The next difficult thing was holding the nut in place as we tried to get the screw in. The rivets were held in place on the different pieces. There was only about a 1/4" gap of room to barely squeeze a small wrench into place. After a few tries, we were finally able to get the screw started and tightened. This is a quality control issue. Minus one star.Apart from the missing (integral) part, was how difficult the assembly was. I am relatively handy. I do most home repairs myself. I've been a TV and internet technician. I've worked construction. I've done limited repairs on cars. I've install ceiling fans, etc. This assembly process was frustrating and extremely time-consuming, and we had two people. Minus one star.My hope is that now that the grill is assembled, it will function correctly. I have not yet had the opportunity to use it yet. I will give an update once I have used it a few times.UPDATE: I was able to attach the propane tank and test the burners. The electric starter worked as did all the burners.
