Therm-a-RestAir Head Lite Inflatable Camping Pillow

Way better than those cheap C-shaped airplane pillows that fail soon after buying. This is much more compact than any of those when deflated and it is quicker to inflate as well. When inflated, it's not too large for an economy seat headrest. Very easy to adjust firmness by fully inflating, then slowly unscrew the valve to let out air while you are resting your head on the pillow until you reach the firmness that is comfortable for you. Another advantage to this pillow over the C-shaped ones is that you can use it between your head and the sidewall of the aircraft much more easily. You can also more easily place this pillow between the tray table and the side of your head than the other type. Whose idea was those C-shaped pillows? They're stupid and don't work!

it just arrived, so far very happy. its tiny, super lightweight. haven't used it in the real world yet, but at about 75% inflation it feels very good when I lay down on my floor. so far very pleased. real world might change my opinion... Will update later if my initial excitement diminishes after first real use.

Not bad. It'll work best if half inflated to get that softer pillow feel.

This is a great pillow. Compresses down really small and is super light. Does not take long to blow up and holds the air in. I'm a side sleeper so I paired with the Thermarest compressible pillow for a great combo! A huge plus that this is made in the US. I'd rather pay a bit more for a quality item that is made in America.

Bought this for a deep backcountry 3 night four day hike and camping in the Missions in Montana. Blew it up the first night and it worked fine. The next night it would not hold air. No puncture, not placed on bare ground. Being in the deep backcountry without a pillow and nothing to use in its place due to our ultra-light packing, (I'm 66) was awful. Cascade Designs has not responded to my notice of defect for 9 days.

I thought that this pillow is self-inflatable but it's just a plastic bag in a fabric shell. And it costs $40!!!!

Nice shape and you choose how firm you want it. I have two. One I use under my head and the other I use lightly inflated to keep my knee’s comfy as I sleep on my side. Easy to get back in the stuff sack after you learn to fold it. Take a picture of the creases when you open it. Fold it like they did and you will be golden.

I bought this lite pillow for a pilgrimage I am doing at the end of May. It looks nice, comfortable and the size is just right. I did not test it till now and it does not hold air inside. Very disappointed. Shame on me for not testing when I received. I trusted the brand. Now I have to go find one last minute for my trip.

Have bought lots of Thermarest products & have always rated them highly. Disappointed with this as it started leaking air the first time I used it.

I don’t actually use this most for camping. I have a herniated neck disk that needs firm support. This inflated just right under a regular pillow is a miracle worker.
