This Is Literaly An Assorted Mix...
First... the title and the description for this product disagree with each other. This seems to be more and more common on Amazon. I ordered "Sungold Abrasives 04823 Assorted Grit 5-Each of 800, 1200, 1500 & 2000 Eclipse Film Hook & Loop Discs, 3"" and fortunately that is what I got.I haven't had a chance to use them yet. That is several weeks ahead in my project, but the sanding discs look good (if you can tell such a thing by looking at them). What disappointed me was that the 20 discs of 4 different grits were just all thrown into the shipping box. On some you could read the grit number, on most you couldn't and you have to rely on feel to separate them. There isn't too much of difference between 1200, 1500 and 2000. At least not for me. Now that I have them separated (hopefully I separated them OK) I'll have to see how they perform when actually used. At that time, depending on the outcome, I may update this review.

Sungold Abrasives 3-inch Eclipse Discs Very Good
I bought the 3-inch hook and loop assorted grit kit. I think the line is called Eclipse. Needed for automotive paint restore and prep. The quality of the product is superb. The discs last a very long time (durable) for dry or wet sanding. The abrasive material is applied on synthetic film substrate, very even layer quality. Manufacturer claims P-graded and micron-graded. The hook and loop side is durable and does not separate when you "peel" the disc off the pad, even when wet.Too bad Sungold Abrasives does not make finer grit Eclipse discs. The finest is P2000 grit at this time, which may be a bit coarse for automotive clear coat. Would like to see P3000 and P5000 grit variety. (So ended up augmenting with a different brand.) Sungold, if you are reading this, there is demand for fine grit discs. Another suggestion is to make the grit lettering more frequent. Larger discs are probably fine (more surface), but some 3-inch discs show a fraction of the grit number, which makes one wonder.Really good quality product. Highly recommended.

While they did a good job, they are (1) one use items!
I purchased these to refinish headlamps on my vehicles. While they did a good job, they are (1) one use items. If you are using them for wet sanding, which you should do from about 800 grit up to 2000 grit on your headlamps, the loop backing becomes separated quite quickly from the abrasive pad. Also, I noticed with the 800 grit that all of the abrasive wore down to nothing very quickly. Bear in mind this was using a cordless drill at relatively slow RPM, like below 500 rpm. I would expect them to hold up a bit better, but had to use 2 of each (one for each headlamp, so I basically used 1/2 of the whole kit, just to complete the headlamp restoration on one vehicle. They should include that they are one use only with the documentation or information.

Premature eja... expenditure - Lasted less than 2 mins
The buyer gets a nice assortment of paper and at a pretty good price. Packing is as expected. All all the good aspects are deleted by the fact that the paper doesn't last. The abrasives were expended with a very short time-frame - unexpectedly short; < 1-2 minutes of use. Afterwards the user is left with a thin plastic wafer as smooth as a babies bottom. I was using this on a variable speed buffer operating a low speed. My application was buffing out my headlights with plenty of water. I kinda wish that I had just gone all-in and bought the 3M disks. I'd recommend not wasting your money this product.

they are gritty paper, or "perfect"
Its sanding discs. I mean honestly what do you write for sanding discs. I got the right amounts and grits as listed on the product page. they were all very consistent and the velcro back was perfect. i do agree that the numbers are a bit hard to read , but if you saw an 8 it was 800 , 2 in the second digit was 1200 , a 5 was 1500 , and 2 as the first digit was 2000. I used them on my headlights to great success.

Not for use for wet sanding plastics - fall apart if wet
I purchased these to augment those I got in a plastic headlight cover polishing kit. The application requires spraying the plastic cover lightly with water to avoid scratches.Sadly, the glue on these pads is not waterproof, and after just a few minutes would slip off the loop backing. While the adhesive and loop pad were still fine, they don't work very well separated. As far as I know, they work fine for dry sanding.

Worth the money.. but quality is not the best. Would buy again for my purposes.
