I searched all over for 100% Cotton pajamas with cuffs. They keep out the drafts, and don't flop about my legs when I walk. In Feb. of 2016, I bought both the striped Purple & Denim, and the Elephant print in Large (I usually wear Large). My first impression of the striped ones, was how very soft they were. The print ones didn't seem as soft, at first. The print seemed to cause this. I found that washing with liquid fabric softener made a great difference. Both looked darker than the screen images. I bought the elephant print, because I thought it was violet. I would say, it is more like a mauve. The sewing is not top shelf. Still, I consider it acceptable. The striped ones, faded, and became fuzzy. I'm 5' 2". Yes, after washing, and line drying, the sleeves are a bit short, and the legs creep up. This seems to be more so with my striped pair. I don't mind the sleeves. They are less likely to get wet when I put my hands in water. Fortunately for me, I wear a light-weight pair of socks to bed. So, I pull them over the cuffs, and they keep everything in place. They did have a chemical odor upon opening. Hey, it's just the elastic in the waistband! It goes away! Speaking of the waistband, it worked for me. I'm so glad it came up to my waist. I have a small waist, in proportion to my hips. So, I think I understand why the waistband is constricting for some. And, the waistband is wide, and does kind of fold in the middle. For me, it folds in just the right spot, to conform to my body. The knees do get this kind of "ballooning out" effect with wear. But, I expected that, from this cut of pajama.They go right back into shape with washing. They are meant to be close-fitting. So, they won't protect your modesty. I wear a light robe over them, when I'm staying with friends, and family. All that said, I cannot describe the safe, comfortable feeling they give me when I'm under the covers. I ordered the L Purple & Grey striped, in Mar. of 2016. I was dissapointed with the fabric. I think it was slub. It seemed smooth, almost transparent. I returned them. In Sept. of 2016, I ordered the Apple & Apricot stripe, and the Horse print in L. I didn't care for the color of the striped. They were darker than the screen image, very orange. I want to say, Burnt Sienna maybe? I was kind of neutral about the fabric on those. I returned them. I thought the Horse print had a white background. It was pink! These are much like the elephant print I bought earlier - same kind of waistband. Those horses really seemed painted on. The dark aqua ones, especially, were raised, and stiff. The good news, it decreases with repeated washings, and I don't think I used liquid fabric softener all that much this time.In Aug. of 2017, I ordered the Fish Color. So glad to see some in my favorite color of green! I haven't washed, and worn them yet, but they look like they will do fine. I have comfortable pajamas, and plan to order more prints in the future.

Runs small

I normally wear a small in everything. However with digestive issues, sometime I need a looser fit to help my uncomfortable, bloated stomach. I got the medium which is perfect! The cuffs on the pants make it so the legs aren’t too long. My favorite pajamas!!

The material is so soft and comfortable. It fit as expected and looks just as in the picture.

As others stated, the pants get so stretched out and baggy in the legs after one night. I guess they could use some spandex or something. I like to lounge in my pajamas but these aren't even comfortable to next morning because they're all blown out.

I have been buying Hanna's pajamas since 1993 and have always loved the quality of their cotton: soft, luxurious, heavy good cotton. These recent pajamas I ordered are thin and feel cheap,. I can almost see through them... so disappointed!

I am reviewing this because the reviews really helped me in purchase. I am basing this on my daughter's assessment as this was a gift to her. The materials and the construction are good to great. The fabric is soft and needed washing a couple of times, but is very soft now. The size I purchased was medium for her (she is usually a small to medium) and she said it could have been even a little bigger and to size it up. The waist is good but the top was a little small and the "bum" was ok. She said size it by the waist and the length. She recommended I go up two sizes for me (yes, matching family jammies) because I like my jams a little looser. I will review again when my pair come and I have a chance to actually see how they hold up. For now, the family love that they have matching fun lounging things for cooler Brooklyn weekends.

UPDATE: Still love them! Got a second pair!! The first pair I got medium as to be roomy, and they were, but after washing & drying they shrank, a LOT! This second time I did large and they were too large but sure enough after washing and drying them they fit like the medium before washing. Great pajamas truly, super soft, and I plan to get a few more colors, just a little FYI that they shrink, or at least my two sets.I love them! They are super, super soft and lightweight. I love the color. I'm 5'4" 118 pounds and I got the medium because I like my jammies a little roomy. The small would have fit perfectly for me if I didn't like a little roomy. I definitely would get these again, and might in other colors. Great pajamas!!!
