Senor & The Queen Ep

Buy this CD/EP.These guys are so good.Got into them with "59 Sound" and backtracked to "Sink or Swim", then "Senor and the Queen".Their CDs/MP3s have been in constant rotation for the last year.Wife heard them and got hooked as well.They are supposedly back in the studio working on a new CD.Casn't wait to hear it.If you've never heard them before, give them a listen.I always describe these guys like this:Imagine Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty being born in the mid-70's and growing up around 80/90s punk, grunge, alternative and older classic rock. Combine all of that with a dash of blues and even a bit of country thrown in here and there (sounds like a mud pie). It's modern rock with classic roots, spun in an original and genuine sound that is their own...these guys have heart but are rough enough on the edges to keep it rockin'. They put on a sick live show too, check 'em out.

I have been a big fan of The Gaslight Anthem for a couple of years now and had the pleasure of catching them live recently in NC. If you are getting into them for the first time I would recommend starting with "The '59 Sound" but you can not go wrong with this EP or their other full length albums "Sink or Swim" or "American Slang". Their latest "Handwritten" is good but (to me) not their best and a bit of a departure from the sound and songwriting they crafted in their previous work.

Unique for today's sad state of music (which makes me heave), so I find myself searching elsewhere for recordings of merit. Recording quality is as important to me as much as content is. One would not BELIEVE the lengths that I have had to go to avoid purchasing the exact same titles over and over again, in different packages.

Their 1st CD, Sink or Swim, demonstrated their talent. This mini-EP, recorded in Texas while on tour, shows their range. This 4 track CD has 4 different sounding tunes all of which are thoroughly enjoyable to the end. This was very much a warm up for Gaslight's follow up, 2nd full length CD: The '59 Sound. A great purchase...get it! Its well worth it.

I have all four albums by gaslight and they're all really good. I can listen to all 4 and skip maybe 2 songs. Their music is the perfect mix of punk rock, blues, country and rock and roll.....did I miss something? I have never posted my opinion about music before....anywhere, but this time I felt it needed to be done.

If you're a fan of the Gaslight Anthem, this CD is for you. If you aren't, why are you looking at Amazon reviews for it?

Everything about this is perfect. Great sound quality too. I adore Gaslight Anthem. (I also apparently need 7 more words to submit this. XD )

The Gaslight Anthem is an amazing and this is their best EP. Four good songs, my favourite EP by far.

Un EP que junto al 59 sound es lo mejor que ha hecho este grupo. El vinilo es MUY CARO PARA 4 CANCIONES, pero merece la pena. No es un vinilo de 180 gramos, por lo que no entiendo por qué es tan caro. Casi todos los pressings de este vinilo son de color, y el de 2016 es marrón. Me salió a 17 euros, más barato que en la propia página de Gunner Records, aunque varía mucho en Amazon.Una compra recomendada para cualquier fan de este grupo, y para cualquiera que quiera escuchar buena música.
