I fixed my TV with most of this kit
Okay so if you're reading this, then you are one of the brave people that want to fix your Samsung TV without spending a fortune. This kit provides you with everything you should need to do the job. It includes the capacitors, soldering gun, and solder... pretty much everything you'll need. I have to admit that I could not get my soldering gun hot enough to actually melt the solder off of the board on the TV, which is why I knocked off a star. Maybe my gun that was included was broken, but either way someone you know probably has access to one... just borrow theirs. The kit included some links to videos on how the process works. These were a definite plus because the guy takes you step by step on how to get your TV apart and what to look for. My television was a different model than his, but it didn't really matter. I was able to figure out how to get everything apart by following his instructions.Anyways, once you get your board off the TV, you finally get a chance to look and see where the damage is. You'll know what capacitors are blown on your TV because the tops on them will be raised, and possibly leaking. They should be obvious. As long as you are careful with your removal and replacement of the capacitors the TV should work good as new. The guy I borrowed the soldering gun from had a few (6) beers and wanted to try to help. Let's just say that the TV still works after he got his hands on it and almost melted the board and got excess solder everywhere. Needless to say I stopped him and finished the task. Also note, the kit includes several types of capacitors, so do your research and figure out which ones you want to use. I used the exact same type for my TV just to be on the safe side. It's a real bummer that today's society includes planned obsolescence, but we can do our best to fight the power and try to make things last a little longer. I'm happy to say that this kit helped with this!

I fixed it !!!
First of all let me start off with the fact that I am a 68 grandmother with rheumatoid arthritis which affects my hand strength. I am a retired nurse with no previous electronics experience. And my 4 yr old 52 inch Samsumg TV stopped turning on and off. It just continually cycled switching on/off. I had to just unplug it. I contacted Samsung and learned that this is a common problem. The closest authorized Samsung dealer is 165 miles from my home. This started me on an internet search for the cause of this "common problem". I learned that it is usually due to faulty capacitors. I then went to YouTube and watched several people demonstrating fixing the problem. Then to Amazon. I was very happy to find this kit with all of the materials and tools that I would need. Of course, I already had screwdrivers and wire cutters. I ordered the kit. When it arrived I called my daughter (43) and asked it she would come over to my house and help me lift my TV because I was going to fix it. I first had her help me move my large, solid coffee table close to the TV and I put a very thick blanket over it. We then put the TV face down (I could even let the stand stay on and hang over). I proceeded to take out all the screws, take off the back, take out the "board" with the components and took it to my kitchen table. The kit had everything I needed to remove and replace the capacitors. No problem. Put the TV back together, had my daughter help stand it back up on the shelf and it works great. Thanks for a very cheap repair to an $1,800.00 TV. PS, my kids and grandkids are impressed.Update 2022 I just want to say that my TV is still working great and I was able to give a son-in-law a couple of capacitors in the size he needed for their TV. He is an IT guy by profession and didn't need the rest of the kit but was amazed that I had the parts that he needed.

Everything you need
My 58" Plasma Samsung TV started making a clicking sound over and over again before turning on. After a few months it stopped turning on and just made the clicking sound. I decided to take the TV to a local repair shop (Custom Electronics in Cordova, TN) and after paying $71 for their diagnostic was told it would be $500 to have the TV repaired and that it needed two different boards replaced. Not happy with the cost of repair I took the TV home and researched the possible cause online which is normally bad capacitors. I had to replace two 2200 10v capacitors which are included with this kit and the TV is now working perfectly! This was a very easy repair. The longest part was removing the 20+ screws holding on the back cover of the TV. If you are unsure about doing this yourself search YouTube first and you will see how it's done. Attached are the photos of the bad capacitors that I replaced. You will see that they are not flat on top and show just a little bit of black leakage. These were the only two capacitors that needed replacement.

When you need it...you need it!
My Samsung 46" TV was making clicking noises when turned on prior to actually turning on. My research suggested that some capacitors needed to be replaced and recommended I get this kit to get the job done. Being that I am not an electronics technician, this kit, along with a youtube video, got the job done. I thought my TV was done for since it was rather old anyway, but with this kit, it is working to this day as the day I got it. It had the capacitor size I needed and came with the soldering tools to complete the replacement.

Check your Capacitors specs first
Guessing it was my mistake, I order this expensive package without checking my capacitor's specs first.Only two of the capacitors that came in the package worked for my old Samsung TV.I noticed it doesn't specify anywhere what capacitor specs you should expect to receive. I am including a photo of them so you don't make the same mistake.I didn't return it as I delayed the fix and noticed several weeks later.
