Works fast and does what I need.
When I looked for a blender I looked for something that had a lot of power and this is the one I chose and it is perfect. It works so fast and is so easy to do I'm addicted to using it everyday. The smoothie quality is amazing. The item itself is very durable and well made and the design is perfect and fits under my counter for easy access. The noise is not as bad as expected for a blender so I highly recommend this one.

Working fine. Surprisingly excellent and powdering ice cubes
When my beloved Kitchenaid blender died after 23 years, I splurged a bit. Picked this one due to the glowing reviews. So far, it's done a great job on making fruit smoothies and pureeing onions into a smooth slurry. Last year, I bought an attachment for my stand mixer to shave ice. One of my fondest memories from traveling around southeast Asia were the shaved ice desserts, and I finally bought the attachment that lets me make my own versions. I was (very happily) shocked to see how well the Ninja 701 turns basi ice cubes into fluffy and soft snow. Don't need my special attachment any more!!! Only question will be how durable this item turns out to be. I can't imagine that it will also last a quarter-century. But then, I don't know if I myself will last a quarter-century, so I'm happy to enjoy this high-powered machine one day at a time. :-)

Powerful and smart blender!!
Amazing blender...I killed my old Oster blender trying to puree a meal due to cancer mouth sores, and it died. This new blender takes things to a whole new level, it has a smoothie setting that mixes your smoothie and stops when it senses the smoothie is fully blended. And it's powerful, it doesn't strain to blend anything.

Performs Well Despite Its Design Flaws
I purchased this blender to replace a much older (and cheaper) Ninja blender I've had for what seems like a million years now. It still works, but it just never quite had the power needed to blend ice into a texture that wasn't gritty and crunchy. I'll be honest, purchasing this new Ninja blender was definitely an impulse buy. I was literally at home drinking a Starbucks Frappuccino when I said to myself, "I sure wish I could make these at home".Long story short, this blender DOES have the power to replicate your favorite frozen drinks in terms of texture. No grit. No sand. Just smooth ice. It's fantastic. I've used this blender to make smoothies, slushies, and frappes that always come out amazing. But here's the thing: I ended up returning it and getting a Vitamix instead. And there are a few reasons why:What really bothered me about this blender was the container design. Almost everything about it is frustrating. My old Ninja blender container, nearly 10 years old, had very similar issues because the fundamental design is nearly identical. The plastic pitcher has a long blade attachment that loosely fits inside and takes up an enormous amount of room. Getting everything you want blended in the container at once can be challenging if you are using big chunks of things like ice cubes or pineapple. Oftentimes I had to blend my ingredients in segments to make room for more. This type of blade design is also annoying if your ingredients end up compacted at the bottom. There's no ability to tamper. And if you pull the blade out when stuff is in there, it's not going back in until you've loosened up that area. To reduce the likelihood of getting ice or other ingredients compacted, it's necessary to ensure you have plenty of liquid in the container before blending and add frozen things (including ice) last. Chopping ice first and adding liquids after is a big no-no.Which brings me to another concern I had regarding the blade, and that is longterm durability. You see, there are typically two types of blades you can find in a blender: ones that chop/slice and ones that pulverize. These long blades are designed to slice through ingredients and over time, especially with hard ingredients like ice, the blades will start to dull. I have no doubt the machine itself will last a long time, but the blades will wear out quickly depending on how often you use it. If you only blend OCCASIONALLY then I think you'll be ok. But if you blend ice daily I think it's worth investing in a blender with a better blade design and better warranty (like Vitamix). Otherwise, you'll need to sharpen the Ninja blades yourself (or replace them) as they dull in order to ensure consistent performance. For comparison, Vitamix blades are dull by design; they sit at the bottom of the container and pulverize from below. It also allows you to fill the entire pitcher without this annoying obstacle in the way. Unlike the Ninja they cannot be removed, but Vitamix offers a 5, 7, or 10 year warranty depending on the model. It sounds dumb, but I compare these different designs to washing machines: the Ninja would be a top-load machine and the Vitamix would be front-load. The two drums are very different. In any case, I decided I did not want to deal with the Ninja blade long-term since I blend daily. The other thing that really bothered me was the handle design. It's just like my old Ninja. It has a black plastic cover that is screwed onto the clear handle. This creates a hollow, and NOT airtight space where water gets trapped when cleaning. Regardless of whether a blender is dishwasher safe or not, I only wash them by hand. So to constantly see a clean, dry pitcher that has water drops trapped in the handle bothers me to no end. Sure, you can unscrew the plastic cover to dry it out, but who wants to do that every time they wash it? Not me!At this price point, this is a solid blender and does a great job. But I only recommend it for casual use. Daily use I think will benefit greatly from a better quality blender that, while initially more expensive, will likely save money longterm since blades will last longer and pitchers won't get water trapped in them.

WHERE has this been all my life???
First off, we purchased a different blender (Hamilton Beach) in May 2024, the type with the glass pitcher and the non-removable blades at the bottom. I was always nervous when cleaning this because of the blades, anyhow, 7 months later the entire bottom came apart on me. The only thing I ever use my blender for is frappe's and salsa, nothing else. So, my husband did some research and bought me this Ninja blender, I actually watched a YouTube video where a couple did a complete review on it and made several items, when it arrived a few hours later, I already knew how to use it, in fact, I do not think I even looked at the manual until just recently. I am in total LOVE with this thing!!! The fact that it has a row of 3 stacked blades and they are removable, the picture is sturdy plastic, not heavy glass!! I love the AI feature the best, you just hit the button and the blender makes the smoothie or ice cream for you!! I made my salsa for the first time last week, and WOW did it come out awesome!!! So now my sister decided she wanted one too, so we just ordered her one.

Amazing machine, fantastic performance. A steal under 100 Dollars!
I waited to review this machine until I had put it to the test! I have to say, it is the BEST mixer I have ever owned. The blade is impressive! It does exactly what you want it to do. I have particular taste and texture preferences, and this machine delivers every time. Sometimes I like a fluffy, airy drink (Cafe frappe) and it comes out perfect. Other times I like the slushier version, like a fruit smoothie. The green juice I make daily also comes out perfectly blended. The 72 oz capacity is more than I need, but there are times when I have guests and if I want to make a special desert sorbet, I can do a large quantity and then put it in the freezer. Same with cream soup, I made a butternut squash batch and it was silky smooth. I have to say, Ninja has become my go to brand for so many kitchen appliances. Quality is excellent and functionality exceeds expectations. I am happy to give 5+++ stars.
