Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twinox Emblem Brown 3-Piece Grooming Set

I got this in the mail today and immediately started to use it. Some reactions:1) The nail clipper works perfectly well. The other purchaser below with the movie either didn't try or didn't want to. Actually it works extremely well--you just need to clip your nails from the edges (as one does) and not middle of the nail with the middle of the clipper. What he shows is misleading.2) The nose hair trimmer does pull and pinch a little, which is not pleasant given the sensitivity of the area. That said, I am reasonably certain that practice will make perfect and I'll get used to it/better at using it.3) The file is terrific for shaping nails and cleaning them with the tip.These tools are clearly quality, and the leather pouch that carries them nice and solid leather. The tools have a good weight, but are not designed for the utmost comfort in use (the clipper has sharp edges and isn't exactly ergonomic, though that's the trade off for such a compact and effective design.Highly recommended--if you don't lose them, these tools will last years.

The three-piece set and leather holder are exactly as advertised. High-quality material, amazing cutting, and a convenient and professional leather holder. I would expect these to last a lifetime.

I find it hard to believe this is a Henckels product. Im a fan of their brand in scissors and kitchen knives. I even own a pair of scissors for hair and they are all german perfect. With this trimmer I expected the same, but the inner cylinder and the outside ring have a huge gap among them. And instead of cutting, it pulls the hair. Very disappointed with Henckels.

This is definitely a travel set. Everything is small which isn't great if you don't have small hands. I returned the set. The dealbreaker was the nose trimmers - they are MANUAL - you have to rotate it to get the cutting action which means you need both hands. And, unless you're capable of rotating it very quickly, you'll pull as many hairs as you cut.

The Henckels Twinox Grooming Set is a beautifully packed grooming set. Everything is wonderfully packaged in a leather holding case, the nail clippers are ultra slim and cuts nails with great ease, and the nail file does a fine job of getting everything well filed down. The nose hair clipper, however falls short from the mark. I don't mind that it's manually operated, as it give the user control over the speed of the clipper. I also like how it can rotate in either direction, so that if a hair gets caught, you can reverse the direction so the pulling ceases. Unfortunately, hairs do seem to get caught fairly easily with this unit, and while it's not as shocking to get a hair yanked like with an electric trimmer, I expected much more from a Henckels product and expected no hair yanking at all! I'm guessing that if hairs are getting caught and yanked now - while new and at it's sharpest - it may cause larger amounts of pain later. If you have a higher threshold for pain, or don't get phased at a nose hair yank or two, this set is truly a handsome grooming set. Just be aware the nose trimmer is like any other trimmer - hairs will most likely get yanked.

What an elegantly crafted set! I own a few Henckels knives and scissors and am familiar with the quality of their products. This is definitely in keeping with the precision and design the brand is known for. The scissors are very James Bond, and I hate to admit I had to read the instructions to figure them out. They're pretty clever and streamlined! The file is of excellent quality as well, and the precision with which everything lines up for the nose hair trimmer is pretty impressive. Having said that, the last item pinches a lot. Maybe I haven't figured out the rhythm of how to use it, but the nose hair trimmers really pull on those hairs, so I had to take a star off. It hurts! In good news, they are manual and do not require batteries. The case is leather, very elegant, and has room to add a few other toiletries like Q-tips or little manicure scissors, or something of comparable size.Excellent product with an upscale price tag. Nice if you can afford it!

I covet my first J.A. Henckels Twin Pro knife, an 8" Chef's knife that I bought more than a decade ago and still use almost daily. It's been joined by a Pro 6" and a Pro Santoku. They live in their own out of reach drawer. Decoy knives are in a easy access drawer for anyone else using my kitchen. Since I love Zwilling J.A. Henckels knives I jumped at the chance to order the branded grooming set. A printed sleeve in the box says "Pour Homme," which I googled and learned means "For Men."The clippers are amazingly engineered and unlike any I've ever used. Minimal pressure is needed to easily bring together the sharp blades, but they're not "man" sized. The same clippers made in a larger size would be perfect. The file is another example of a component that looks to be marvelously made except that it's a bit on the dainty side. The third component, the nose trimmer is a different story. It looks tres "Pour Homme" and made to safely and cleanly cut nose and ear hairs. One twist raises the blade, another spins them inside the cutting slots. It looks like it would be very effective. An accompanying leather case is nicely made with tight stitches and perfectly fitting slots. It sends the message that the contents are high end.Overall, my opinion is that for men, the set is hit and miss. If the same clippers and file were larger scale, I'd give the set five stars. As is, I'll go with four stars and recommend it best for "Pour Les Petit Hommes."
