YMIX Plastic Cover Snap on Hard Protective Case for 2016 Pro 15" with Touch Bar (A1707) , 01 Woodcut Lotus

I had to change my review from 5 to 1 star. Not long after I received it, it cracked and keeps falling off my computer. This material is fragile and I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on moving your computer around a lot. I'm looking for a more flexible material now. Boo.

Love this case. I don't think it would save my macbook if I were to drop it, because the macbook is a pretty heavy laptop, but I didnt buy this case thinking that it would be bulletproof. I got the case just because I want to keep the macbook protected, when I put it on the table, ground or anywhere else I put it while using it. I think the case is perfect for that, plus is looks cute :)

It arrived promptly, love the overall design. Fits perfectly on my Macbook Pro 15 inch. The texture, feeling of surface is very nice as well.I love the Totoro design, neat and adorable.

I purchased what I thought was the same case about two years ago. I have the old one next to this new one as I write the review. The new case is much better quality than the previous. This case feels rubberized (the old one was smooth plastic), the color is brighter, the rubber feet on the bottom are larger and a dense black rubber (the older one were thin, stick-on, white circles that actually included replacements, so obviously the manufacturer knew that they would come off almost immediately). The previous case bottom chipped and eventually broke, leaving sharp edges that cut into my wrists. (With this order, I also ordered a Mosiso case for my wife's computer and hers is the same thin plastic, paltry white plastic feet as the older case I am now unhappy with.) I did not know that these cases came in different quality, so if you order a case, I recommend this YMIX case. Make sure that it feels thick, sturdy, and rubberized on top and has the thick black rubber feet on the bottom. I'm leaving a bad review for Mosiso...much cheaper, low quality. Definitely going with YMIX in the future.

I bought this case to set apart my work computer from the identical laptops of my co-workers. Some have turned their laptops into messes of stickers, but I didn't like the idea of the stickers curling and getting gummy residue in my backpack, and taking them off would be obnoxious when it's time to me to upgrade. With a case, I can keep my signature look throughout upgrades (as long as they issue me the same model).I got the shiny silver one, and it's even prettier in person! The surface is holographic and shimmers in sunlight. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it! The corners are already a little faded from the friction in my backpack, but for a $20 case, it's holding together really well.The case was easy to apply. I clipped on the bottom and top while the laptop was closed, then opened it to ensure all the tabs were secure. I haven't had any issues with it coming unlatched, even when my nails accidentally catch the case instead of the laptop itself when I'm trying to open it.It's definitely more of a decorative case than a protective one. While I assume the lid of my laptop is protected from scuffs caused by zippers and metal items in my backpack (my previous laptop ended up being stained by the color rubbing off a notebook!), this case would probably not protect it in the event of a drop.Overall I'm really pleased with it!

UPDATE (1/30/2020): Unfortunately, I had to change my review because the corner of my first case cracked after 10 month. Despite this crack, it lasted way longer than another case that I had bought from another seller. This is why I decided to buy a second case. I have been using for 3 months now and it has already cracked in spite of careful handling and using a padded case on top.I have been struggling to find a case for my old MacBook Pro 15" with CD-ROM (A1286, 2012). My Speck case lasted around 6 years of consistent mild use, but the company does not produce cases for my model anymore. I found a replacement on Amazon from a best-seller with excellent reviews, but the case cracked and chipped almost immediately and it was useless after two weeks (see review and pictures in my profile).I was hesitant to buy this case at first, but after three months of use I cannot be happier with my YMIX case. The product is easy to install and fits perfectly in my old MacBook. The material is sturdy, yet soft to the touch. In this regard, the previous case that I bought felt really rough and uncomfortable around the wrist area when typing, while the YMIX case is really nice and does not interfere with working on the computer.The design is also amazing and lets the Apple light shine through the case. I was a bit concerned that the design would get easily damaged since one can feel the texture of the print; however, it is still intact and vibrant.Based on my experience with this and other cases, I can strongly recommend this case for anyone looking for an extra protection for their old MacBook Pro 15" (A1286). After three months of use, it is still in great condition (it looks brand new), and does not have any chip, crack, nor scratch. I am really happy with the product's durability and design, and I will definitely buy from this seller again in the future if I need a new case.

Awesome-looking case! So sparkly. I love the iridescent effect when catching lights. It snaps on completely and securely, just make sure you position them correctly before snapping them into place. I always install case in a closed-laptop position, try to align them and snap it into place. Then I put the laptop in the open position, double checking everything and snap it to position completely and securely. I’ve never had problems. The only thing about this case that I don’t like is that it has an unpleasant smell coming from it, my husband said it smells like a dead fish. Super strong smell coming out of the package, but a few days of air dry should diminish the smell. Overall I like the case a lot! Can’t comment on durability yet though.

Case is of mediocre quality. Acceptable for the price you pay for the case but not acceptable for the price you pay for a 15” MacBook. Looks cheap, side edges weren’t even painted with design just white plastic, fairly thick, ruins the appeal of a laptop like a MacBook. Not necessarily a problem with this company alone I’m sure it’s the same for many of these budget cases. You already payed up thousands for a MacBook. Pay up for a high quality case too.

Needed a new laptop case for going into university and was very disappointed when this case arrived the way it did. It was damaged before it was even packaged because the plastic packaging was intact with no rips in it. Looks like it was ill-manufactured, it wouldn't even fasten onto my laptop because the "fasteners" weren't made correctly. In addition, the bottom cover was weirdly bent and broken on the sides as well as the corner fasteners. Bottom also had some weird residue on it. If you want a proper case/cover don't buy it here.

Wonderful quality, good material, the art looks just like it does online, not grainy or cheap. The only thing I don't like is that the base case doesn't cover or protect all four corners on your laptop. All of my previous covers have protected my laptop from some pretty bad bumps and accidents, and now i'm far more cautious of the back corners because there is nothing now. It would be the perfect case otherwise.

I bought this for my Macbook Pro A1398. I love that it fits perfectly, snapped snug onto both front and back of the laptop. Graphics are amazing and vibrant so not disappointed one bit. Definitely pleased with my purchase, and would recommend to a friend.

My wife is not easy on her MacBook so these covers go a long way to protect the aluminum. Very nice design. Did not come with silicon keyboard cover which my wife likes FWIW.

THis is by far the favourite laptop cover I've purchased. The simulated wood finish looks great and although it is a hardshell what the description doesn't say is that the inside is a hardshell but the outside has a really nice soft, suwede-like feel to it.

Love it, I like the rubber feet. And it stays on the computer, which sounds obvious but the last three cases I returned kept loosening or pooping off. Which in a drop situation is the one thing you can’t afford

Love the case - so pretty. Seems a bit heavy but better that than too flimsy! I wish there was a white or clear bottom for it instead of just black.

I love this cover - the colors are vibrant, the image is clear and high quality and it feels soft to the touch but is sturdy to protect my computer.

the base had totally wrong format for fitting the A1286..noway to make it work nor fit for my A1286 so sent it back

It was wrong size , my fault , the seller was so nice and he returned it directly .It’s thin and cheap too.

I absolutely love this cover. It looks awesome on my gold 12” MacBook model A1534. It is a little large and the top cover tends to come off a bit too easy but is also very easy to slide back on. The delivery was very fast and i would definitely purchase from this seller again. (YMIX)

Loved that the design was a described. It was a little loser fitting compared to my old one but it still fits great and that doesn't take away from the case.

Easy to put on laptop, fits like a glove, seems like solid material (have only been using for a week though) and looks great.
