Don't read this without a pen!
This book beautifully sums up the current state of digital transformation in healthcare. The authors have done extensive research and managed to frame a quickly-evolving landscape in clear, actionable terms for healthcare executives and technology providers who want to adjust their own strategies accordingly. And, as they point out, it's really not a choice. If you don't evolve, you won't be around for long! Before you read the book, make sure you get a pen--you're going to want to underline and take a lot of notes.

A great ROI on your reading investment...
Ed and Paddy provide an excellent overview of many of the needs and challenges associated with digital health. Having built and sold one digital health company and now starting another, I consistently found myself nodding in agreement, highlighting a phrase, or sending a photo of a blurb to my co-founder (don't worry, I just bought a copy for her as well). For the novice or expert, this book is an excellent framework.

Every Client Partner and Leader in Healthcare Needs to Read This
This is such a wonderful "How To" of digital transformation for Healthcare in the post Covid-19 world. The interviewees for this book read like the who's who of Healthcare innovation. I would recommend that every client partner and manager peruse this book to get digital transformation efforts moving in your (client) organizations. You can actually see the implementation experience come though in the chapters of the book. The stories are not all about successes; the failures shared are more valuable. I like the emphasis on quick successes and communications to the entire organization to nudge the culture of the organization. I hope that many in the C-Suite read this book or at least watch the interview of Paddy Padmanabhan and Ed Marx with Bill Russell (This Week in Health IT) . I've created a cliff notes of the people, organizations and lessons learned from transformation efforts for my own reference. Needless to say, I believe that this is a book that needs to be on the bookshelves of every Healthcare executive, not just the technology folks.

The 30-Second Agile Consults 🎉 (at the end of each chapter)
Whether your are new to healthcare or an experienced healthcare digital transformation professional, this book is a short "must read". HIMSS recommended this book during its 2021 conference. The co-authors provide practical and relevant insight on the current and projected state of healthcare's transformation journey. One thing I really value about the layout is that at the end of each chapter there are "Key Takeaways and Action Steps". The icing on the cake is the "30-Second Agile Consult" tip at the end of each chapter! This is a one sentence question you can ask of your healthcare leaders to drive strategic and operational execution discussions for meaningful outcomes. It is a book you will want to mark up with post-it flags and highlights.
