It helps the plants to grow
Love those lights, great for all plants. I use them all the time. Easy to set up and and leave on, plus they have a timer to what hours you want on...I think the price was great.

Plant Life
These lights were purchased to give light to my 4 plants including a purple orchid especially during the winter months to add sunlight to plants for lifelike preservation. It comes with 4, 8, and 12 hour timer setting and I set it at 12 hours during winter and 8 hours during other months. Comes with a long cord with bendable lights and a sturdy clip to clip on surfaces and works great and plants are thriving! Price was great also!

These are my favorite grow lights, use several in my indoor garden.
These are my absolute favorite grow lights. They are the only ones i will buy from now on. I’ve tried other brands and i have to say, these are so far the best I’ve purchased for several reasons. The color temperature is perfect, it’s not too warm even though it has a few red chips. Thats hard to get right and other brands have a pink tint or flat out purple. That pink light may be okay for flowering and fruiting plants but if you have mostly tropical plants, succulents, cacti or foliage plants then they aren’t really going to benefit much from that and might not get what they need. Of course all plants need a full spectrum of light to photosynthesize and thrive, but the blue light is more important for the most part. These lights provide the perfect balance and I’m not just saying that after one week of use, I’ve been using these all year and my plants love them. I noticed a huge difference within the first two weeks in terms of growth, overall health of the plants and my succulents are more colorful. No more stretching or leggy plants. The two heads make it very easy to cover a large area and crane the light where i need it. I have a large plant room / indoor garden with over 200 plants so I need a lot of lights and these are very affordable, effective and cover a large surface area when you utilize the light properly and get the correct distancing from the plants. Note, your plants DO NOT need to be directly up against the lights, you will burn them. They should be about 6 to 8 inches away in most cases, succulents can be a bit closer if they are full sun varieties. I use these lights for succulents, pothos, philodendrons, monsteras, palms, zabrinas, string of things like hearts, turtles, pearls, bananas, and a lot more, just to name a few. All my plants really love these lights and if I forget or skip a few nights then it’s noticeable. These are pretty bright when turned all the way up, sometimes I will run them at half strength if a plant is sensitive and hasn’t been acclimated to the light yet or if I just sprayed them for pests but in general I use them at full power. My lower light plants go more towards the back and the full sun loving varieties take a front row seat. You should build up to the amount of time your plants have under grow lights if you are a beginner so as to not burn your plants that may not be used to it yet. So start with 3 hours, than after a week or two maybe go to 5 or 6, and so on. They have built in timers but I override them with my own plug in timer because I find the presets very inconvenient. For example, the timer options are 4, 9 and 12 hours. Most of the time I need them for 6 hours because my plant room in a south facing room with many large windows so they get ample light for most of the day, I am just supplementing in the evenings. Still, that’s a huge jump from 4 to 9 hours with nothing in between. Not really a big deal and its a person preference but just something I wanted to take note of and I’d like to see more timer options in the future. The clamps are very secure, easy to move around when I need to, ( you can clip them to a table, shelf, plant stand or even a tripod, really anywhere.) and the goose neck style lamps are easy to bend and angle the light exactly where I need it. Over all, these are fantastic! Great value, great product and mine do not get hot. I have several of these running for 6 hours a day most days but they sometimes run 9 or 12 on rainy days, mine personally have not gotten hot, only the plugs get a little warm. Note, I have the 50 watt options, I never purchased the 100 watt, didn't think it was necessary. Sometimes more is not better and it doesn’t have to be as bright as the sun to be effective(unless you are doing seedlings lol) I have a feeling the 100 watt would be too much and burn my plants. You’d be surprised how much these 50 watt lamps put off and I have even placed plants several feet away and they are still benefiting from the light. Very happy with my purchases and I will be buying more in the future when I need them.

Great Lamp -- Except for Timer Feature...
I really like most aspect of this lamp, except for the timer.First the good....This lamp is very sturdy and has the Best gooseneck that I've every seen on a lamp. It is NOT the limp gooseneck you see on other lamps where you place the lamp in position, then it slowly Wilts like a dying flower. NOPE! This has a strong firm gooseneck that stays PUT exactly wherer you position it. If you're using this for plants, this is a must because you need exact positioning to illuminate your plants so they will get the light they need. This lamp WILL ALLOW that Perfect Placement so your plants will thrive. The clip is very strong is should solidly attach the lamp to a table, shelf, or other surface the the clip can grab. I was suprised at the heavy duty clip. You should never have any attachment problem with this lamp.I purchased the 50 watt version. I was suprised at how BRIGHT this lower wattage version really is. Glad I didn't order the 100 watt because it would have been too bright. Even with 50 watts, you must turn away to keep it from hurting your eyes.Seller Customer Service is GREAT. My first lamp was defective. The selleer answered my query immediately and shipped a new lamp right away. I had the new lamp in only a few days. The seller is exceptional in customer service. Now for the Negative....The timeer function. This timer works, but it may not work as you expected. In product description, here is how the timer function is described:"Timer Function & Multiple Settings - this growing light offer the circular memory timer function with 3 options-4h/8h/12h. When keeping power, it can automatically turn on and off every day according your settings, no more manual operation for you."I expected that whatever time period you set would be repeated an an ON/OFF cycle forever (until you remove power from the lamp). NOT TRUE!What I expected is that once you set the timer the lamp would but ON for the timer period, then OFF for the timer period, then ON for the timer period... etc. etc. etc. This lamp doe NOT work this way!!! It is based on a 24 hour cycle from the time you set the timer. For example, if you set a 4 hour timer it will turn ON immediately for 4 hours, then shut to OFF.It will remain OFF for the next 20 hours until the next day when the time that you set the timer rolls around. Then, on Day 2, it wil burn for 4 hours then turn OFF.Each time period you select on the timer function will ONLY turn ON for that period ONCE every 24 hours. The cycle is 24 hours. It does NOT cycle ON and OFF per the time period you select on the lamp.If you select 4 hours, it only turns ON for 4 hours per 24 hours. If you select 8 hours, it only turns ON for 8 hours per 24 hours. If you select 12 hours, it turns ON for 12 hours per 24 hours. The lamp turns ON starting at the exact time when your originally set the timer.I would have otherwise given this lamp 5 stars, but had to knock off a star for the weird operation of the timer function. Now, I probably would not have knocked off a star if the product description in Amazon had actually EXPLAINED how the timer works. Even the instructions that come with the lamp do NOT explain that the lamp operates on a 24 hour cycle and will ONLY burn ONCE per 24 hour period..Other than this lack of explanation on the product page and the same shortcoming in the included instructions, this is really a great lamp and will earn a Five Star rating from most buyers.
