Is the magnetic base pre attached in manufacture or is it possible not to have it fitted? Thanks

I was concerned about the magnet as the reader will be kept with other photographic equipment inc back up hard drives. However - quick look and it's really simple to remove: in the centre of the base rubber is the product label, peel it off and put to one side sticky side up / remove the tiny crosshead screw and discard / using a small screwdriver gently prise the magnet off the base (held in place with sticky tape) finally put the product label back - JOB DONE

I use delkin black cf express cards, will this reader be compatible, normally i wouldn't worry but have read of issues with other manufacturers.

Has anyone else found the cf card gets extremely hot when in use? as in almost too hot to touch? (the sd card is fine). maybe mine is faulty?

Mine is ok no heating problems, I use it to take full RAW files with my Canon 5r, my card is a ProGrade 128gb1700MB/Bs with a ProGradeCFxpress B SDUHDII reader . Cannot comment if you are using 4k/video Hope this helps

Does this work with cfast cards?
