Better than most books on residential painting and has useful tips
Not my favorite book on residential painting, but it is better than most and it has useful tips that make it worth reading. If you are into faux finishes and that sort of thing, it covers that. As one would expect based on the publisher, the book is more for homeowners than pro painters.

Something to be gained by most.
There is some useful information for all but the most seasoned professional painter. The amount of useful info will depend on your experience level. I have painted industrially for about 14 years and dabbled in house painting here and there (interior and exterior). I found some information that will help me from now on. When a book is reasonably priced around $20-30 range, is that not a good investment? The way I see it is, if I only learned one small tid bit of info, and that tid bit got me a word of mouth referral or secured my next job bid; then it was worth the initial investment of the book price. Only 3 stars because I wish it would have been more explicative of the beginner level of instructions. I was able to read the book in one day.

One of the better how to books. Very useful for the novice--not sure for the pro. I love it!
