When I first got it I tried to bet the recording to work but it had such a buzz that you almost couldn't hear the recording at all. I decided to try the functionality of the feeder to see if it would work for my dog. She didn't seem to mind the buzzing noise. The rest of the feeder seemed to work okay. It took a surprising number of cycles to get a cup out but it worked as it should... for about 3.5 weeks then it just died. I had just put in new batteries and the screen went to just showing the bottom half for a few seconds then going blank. I couldn't get it to respond at all. I probably would have kept it if it had continued to physically work regardless of the buzzing recording. But alas, it did not so I returned it. Not sure if I will try another like it or move up a little.

Please watch the video for all the reasons why. Basically it is very durable, super easy to use and clean, and it has the best portion control I’ve found. The only thing I forgot to mention in the video is the ability to record your voice calling your pet to dinner. If you need something like this to make sure your pet has a meal when you can’t be there, this product is for you!

I've had this for awhile now and reprogrammed it several times but it just goes off whenever it feels like it and sometimes never. It is not reliable at all. The portions come out different sizes and my cat has figured out how to stick her paw in it to get food to drop a few morsels at a time. Great concept, but not reliable, plugged in or battery operated worked the same.

At first I was quite excited about this feeder, I thought I could relax and just let this feeder do the feeding job. But after one month use, I noticed the feeding time is not accurate, it could feed two times at the lunch meal.So I paid attention to the feeding time, and it happened again, probably it will happen every two , three weeks.Pro: good capacity, and I like the extra chrome dish. Easy to use.Con: feeding time not accurate, could feed two meals within one hour period,I like this feeder, so I think if I go away 3 days, my cat will probably gain one pound from this extra feed.

My kitty is 13yrs old and I was uncertain how she’d adjust to this feeder but I had to go out of town and had no choice. Much to my surprise she’s doing well with it. She’s just a little “scarey” when it dispenses. I like it because with timed feedings she’s not in my face at 6am because she’s ready to eat. It’s made sturdy and I would recommend.

We went on a week long vacation to CO. I specifically purchased these for the trip. They worked purrrfectly (see what I did there?) Cats were a little leery of them until they dispensed the food. Now they patiently wait by the dispensers for food. Adjustable portions, meal times, and quantities. Easy to fill. So far so good. Makes things a lot easier.

It’s the main reason why I’ll be returning this product.- The instruction says 1 "meal size" is about 5 grams, but it’s not. Every kibble is different in size and density, so I used the same kibble for a month but the 1 "meal size" is always inconsistent. Sometimes is 6.9g, sometimes is 7.3g, sometimes is 8.1g.For a general meal size guide, I'd recommend using one bowl with the exact amount of kibble that you feed your pet. Follow by using another identical bowl to click "manual" until it fills up the same amount. "Manual” stands for feeding manually, each click extrudes 1 "meal size". This will help you to set the correct "meal size" for your pet without over or underfeeding.- The voice message that owners can record to play whenever food dispense is too loud.Our fur babies were happy and pleased as it was feeding them on time. The random glitch of feeding out of the schedule just killed it.

This pet feeder is great for my cats. It is easy to program, fill with food, and clean. My cats are less stressed about being fed at the same time daily and have learned the sounds of the feeder!! No worries about being gone a few days as it has a battery back-up system!!! Highly recommend!!!!
