Great product

It's a good product, well suited for it's task, but it certainly could have been designed a bit better. While I'm sure it will perform admirably in the event of an H2S leak, my biggest gripe was the manner in which it was intended to be carried. Most of the escape respirators on the market feature a watertight carry case designed to be clipped onto your belt while this one has a clip integrated into the body of the unit. While this works - it leaves the unit exposed to the elements. Rain, dust, oil, and grease will wreak havoc on it while you're carrying it and moving about the refinery. The mouthpiece itself is protected with a loose-fitting fabric "baggy" that stretches and falls off leaving your mouthpiece open to all kinds of foreign matter. If the time comes for you to use it, it may very well be saturated with water or highly unsanitary. My company's replacement respirators will certainly feature water tight carry cases and mouthpiece caps.Pros.1. Quality Materials.2. Passes safety inspection for all major refineries.Cons.1. Love it, gives me a since or security at work. We have huge tanks and I'd Atleast like a chance. Good product.
