SEND IT BACK IF IT DOESN"T WORK LIKE THIS
What you need to know: (if your does not perform as mine does, below, send it back!!!)My stun/light continues to perform FLAWLESSLY, AND HERE IS WHY:DO NOT DISCHARGE FOR OVER 1/2 SECOND (just long enough to establish it has a good charge).OR, risk destroying your stun/light, YOURSELF.ALL STUN MANUFACTURERS "Proper Care" is below:QUOTE:Testing your Stun Gun:Fire a test charge of only 1/2 second duration.DO NOT fire the unit across the test probes for more than 1/2 second. Firing in a continuous blast for more than one second can damage the unit and void your warranty. The current has no place to go so it travels from one probe to the other and back into the internal circuitry. The stun gun will not be damaged by firing the charge into an assailant through the contact probes even if you fire continuous blasts. The load on the circuits is much less in stunning an attacker than it is in test firing. So, when testing, make your shots brief". (unquote)PERFORMANCE:YOUR stun/light SHOULD have a great/strong/white flashlight beam.YOUR stun/light SHOULD NOT GET HOT WHILE CHARGING (hardly even warm after 12 hours).(If it does, the batteries are defective and you should SEND IT BACK for exchange NOW )YOUR stun/light should HOLD ITS' CHARGE for a week or more.Charging is by "trickle charge or has diminishing circuitry to drop down voltage to avoid over-charging", says I. I know this because MY stun/light was charged for 18 hours (until I got tired of waiting for the RED CHARGE LIGHT to go out or turn to green, which it does NOT.STUN/LIGHT NEVER GOT MORE THAN SLIGHTLY WARM CHARGING FOR 18 HOURS.NEITHER SHOULD YOURS! (If it does, send it back. IT WILL FAIL YOU.)The charge light should come on when you plug it in and STAY on until removed from the 120v outlet.OPERATIONALLY, you should have the REAR SWITCH OFF and the FLASHLIGHT SWITCH ON, WHEN NOT IN USE. THIS IS A SAFETY FEATURE!!! USE IT !This way, if you use the rear switch to turn on and off the flashlight YOU CAN NOT ACCIDENTALLY FIRE THE STUN FEATURE. (Think about it, if you don't get it at first thought)More on this near bottom of previous post below.THe reason for all this info is the product is GOOD (if not defective. EVERYBODY HAS DEFECTS. GIVE THE SELLER A CHANCE TO MAKE GOOD BEFORE YOU CONDEMN a good product because you got a fluke!AND, don't throw your money away and complain here because you "just threw it in a drawer"AND YOUR MONEY IN THE TRASH!FIRST DAY: previous post:Received in labeled/lined gift box bubble wrapped 2 days early. (Nice going, USPS)Had enough charge, out of the box, to test flashlight and stun functions. Both worked flawlessly!Put it on charge after test. Red charge light came on when plugged in and has been on for at least 6 hours with no change. It hasn't gotten even warm on this first charge for six hours.I did use the flashlight after 6 hours for no more than 3 minutes (night time) to evaluate the beam pattern in the woods. Then, I plugged it back into the wall to continue the charging process.Instructions do not mention over-charge protection or red (charging) to green (or red goes OFF) to indicate to remove from charging. Amazon is emailing other purchasers to email me their experiences and answer my question! (Amazon does it again!)THIS IS NEEDED INFORMATION LEAST WE "KILL" IT FROM OVER-CHARGING. (Will follow up)So far, which doesn't establish anything except, if it continues to perform as it does now, I couldn't be more pleased. It is EXACTLY as advertised (cannot see prongs...they are black too)The FLASHLIGHT beam pattern is terrific! Wide beam with double bright SMALL center spot in one light. Tighter spot than my UltraFire 501.b T6 tactical light and nearly as bright! (it does run a 6v battery)WARNING:I don't believe testing the stun function for over .5 second is a good idea. These things are made to be IN CONTACT to discharge into >90% water. They are not made to see how long the battery lasts making crackling noises. It's got to be hard on the insulation to push and sustain an arc with no loss of current into a BODY. Think of an empty microwave oven. Want to see the microwave crap out QUICK...don't put anything in it and run it ONE MINUTE. If that doesn't break it right then, it won't be long before it's useless (I know. I've accidentally done it to two of them in 18 years).I will update this review after I have had it for some time even if I haven't used the stun on something (as long as it will do a .5 sec. test) because the flashlight IS VERY GOOD. It IS bright and the beam pattern is a very good combination of spot/flood in one. I would use this without hesitation for going into the woods at night, BUT I would bring another light and use it until things got uncertain, then I would want the stun feature available at FULL POWER. The SNNAAPPP will frighten animals and make them think twice on short discharge.STRONG SUGGESTION:You can EASILY hit the stun button after turning off the light with the switch next to the RED stun button (with the power still ON) and zap the crap out of yourself or just surprise yourself and watch the animals scatter).I keep the LIGHT SWITCH IN THE "ON" POSITION AND THE REAR SWITCH OFF!That way, when I need the light I use the REAR MOUNTED switch to turn it on and off, NOT THE LIGHT SWITCH ITSELF.Since you cannot shock (use stun) with the light ON this makes it a DOUBLE SAFETY against inadvertently hitting stun (power ON, flashlight OFF).(Too bad they didn't figure that out and put it in the directions. It takes way less than a second to slide the light switch off and roll your finger onto the stun button in one motion.USING STUN ON SOMEONE: (Light ON/STUN LOCKED OFF)IF you are on the receiving end of this (perpetrator) you will be partially blinded by the light in your eyes, then sudden darkness (as your eyes are adjusting to recent BRIGHTNESS), you'll not see the stun-light (turned off) coming toward you and remember very little when you wake up (optional). (If I SAW a flashlight coming toward me I'd flail my arms, wouldn't you?)Think about this. I did.As with all not lethal weapons, once used on attacker, don't let them get their hands on you. If you have to use it, make sure they aren't coming after you OR depend on an electrical device to save your life again and again until "help arrives", folks.Actually, after using this, pepper spray would be an excellent idea!Get their HANDS TOO! And get the heck out of there, quick, while calling police. If we're all really lucky, we'll just use the very good rechargeable flashlight portion and have confidence that we are armed, if we need to use it.I wrote all of this in the hope that it will help someone at a critical time and for proper performance and evaluation of the product you will receive if you order this item.Too bad the vendors don't someone do the "product support, description, operation, performance" pro-actively. It would make for better results for everyone.

Stun Gun Flashlight
This is a very nice product. The Flashlight is bright and is very light to carry. Comes with a Holster that it fits into very snug. The stun Gun is very loud and the appearance seems the jolt would be horrible. Have not used it of course, hope never have to, but good to know it works, just in case. One would have to place the end of the Flashlight onto an assailant and then hit the button, which brings you right close to them. But most attacks come from behind or sudden and they are on you fast , so the close quarter contact is going to happen 9 times out of 10 anyway. Good to know in your hand is a light that with that button push is going to jar them enough to turn you loose and even if placed in a good spot most likely will cause them to go down or at least try and get away from you.It is a good product. The electrodes are not out in the open as the picture shows. They are down inside where the Lens of the light is., thus not being seen and anyone know it is a stun gun.Walking you dog or to your car at night, this would come in handy for just in case moments. This world is getting worse and worse, one never knows anymore just when some nut case will try something, this just may save you some harm, or at least allow you to get away.Slide button for light is just below the red push button for the Stun Gun, many say they are to close, but in reality it is exactly where it needs to be. One can not fumble around trying to find the button in that sudden moment, it right where your thumb will rest and you can feel the difference in the slide light switch to that push button stun button, in a hurry. Makes a Big difference in that split second moment.Again very good product so far. Time will tell about it's longevity.

love it
I got it in the mail yesterday and it already had some juise in it. The light isn't two-hundred lumens but it is plenty bright. The tazer part works very well, it would stop a man and make him back up "fast". If you've never owned a tazer this is perfect, it has a on/off switch on the butt of the flashlight so there won't buzz yourself by mistake, it has a cap on the top( another safe guard) which has to be removed to zap anything, the sheath isn't the best but it'll do, the fact that you can't have the light on if you want to zap is a little annoying but for the price you pay I would say this is the best deal your going to get. Over all I like it, I've tested it and it should it was capable. A foot note: online it says this is a 2.5 million volt tazer but then it says its a 2.9 million volt tazer somewhere else, but get this on the box you get the tazer in it says its a 12 million volt Razer. So I don't know, all I know is it works
