Very helpful!
Referred pain is difficult to figure out. This convenient book really helps me both with my own pain, and with my client's pain.

Awesome book from cover to cover!
I am 50 years old and attending massage school. The book they 'issue' us sucks. It sucks on a level that deserves a better word than 'sucks' but that word would offend the tender hearted. The drawings in the other book had to have been done by a 6 year old. Trail Guide is on the opposite side of that scale. I've never seen drawings that are not only very detailed but are drawn in a way that truly helps me, a student with an old brain, figure out the muscle name, orientation/insertion, how to find it, and tons of other useful information about the muscle, nerve, bone etc. I've had a lot of classes over many different subjects in my life and NO other book comes close. NO other book. If you are a massage student, do yourself a favor and run, do not walk, and buy this book! The DVD included is just as awesome. Hats off to the author and the artist. My only option is five starts but it deserves 50. No, really. One last point, I have no dog in the fight. I won't make squat if you buy the book. I just wanted you to know how freaking awesome this book, really, is.

Extremely helpful for massage therapy
I always use this book to refer to whenever clients are experiencing pains that they can't quite explain. It has helped tremendously in my understanding of trigger points and trigger point pain referrals. I also use this for class and the material that we learn and it's brought more understanding to specific conditions and how they can contribute to trigger point development

Simple & easy to read for a non-practioner
This is a good quick-reference for those who suffer pain but may not have the means to see massage therapists or trigger-point specialists. It's a very simple and easy to read book and will be helpful in treating our "growing old" pains!

Best Anatomy Book for Massage Therapists!
This is by far one of the most user-friendly and easy to use means of learning the bones and muscles of the body for manual therapists and Massage therapists. The illustrations are straight-forward and bountiful. The instructiosn for palpation are simple and direct with illustrations that actually make sense in showing what is being described. The book comes with a copy of hte DVD that walks you through palpation of the major muscles. The book is also spiral bound making it easy to lay it flat and work while using the book as a guide. Plus, it is actually fun to look through, read, and learn from.I HIGHLY recommend this book, this edition in particular if you need to learn anatomy to increase the effectiveness of your practice, or as a part of your education. It is precise, fun, interesting, simple, and gives you exactly what you need!
