41" Demon Nichirin Fantasy Foam Samurai Sword

So I was expecting a flimsy little blade of foam that would last maybe 1 or 2 outings. Apart from the lack of pattern on the hilt, it's well put together

*Allow me to start off by stating that I have had this sword for about a month now and the images are not from the opening of the package. It came in perfectly painted*I am very pleased with this product as I only purchased it because of plans to attend a costume party as well as take a few photos with it. I did however not plan on buying a fake sword for my own collection and would've bought a more accurate and the actual sword if the time of the party was different, I guess I'll just have two swords for Mitsuri. This sword is also great because as far as I'm aware, you cannot take a real sword into a convention and this will be a perfectly safe and nearly accurate alternative.Quality- The quality of this sword is much better than I expected when paying the listed price. I do however want to note that if you are buying this, that the paint does in fact rub off if you take it out of the sheath too many times or if you hit it against something. I know this because my friends decided to use both it and the sheath as swords and have a sword fight and the aftermath was pink and black paint rubbing off onto the before white sheath. I did luckily have the right colors or paint to paint over the marks where the original paint rubbed off. Just be sure that if you want to get longtime use out of this product that you don't allow people to hit it against objects and that you are easy when pulling it out of the sheath and/or putting it back into it.Size- The sword is much longer than I had thought it would be, but I think this is a situation in which my height is the issue and not the manufacturers themselves. It's a great length for someone of average height.Sheath- This was my biggest issue and the reason for only giving this product 4 stars as opposed to 5. The sheath smells absolutely vile, unlike any product I have ever purchased off of Amazon, it smells like vinegar mixed with something more chemical. It is also very thick as the inside is made with a rather thick layer of foam, which is the reason why the paint was rubbing off inside of the sheath when I would use it.Hilt (Was not a big issue for me but might be for others) - This was also a slight issue for me as Mitsuri's sword in the show has a beautifully detailed hilt with hearts where the pink shows through, as opposed to the diamond shapes on this hilt. This however was something I knew before purchasing this product, but I was unable to find an accurate sword in time for what I needed it for. The hearts that make up the guard on this sword are also rather disappointing as the guard in the show are clearly hearts and these are quite flat and resemble a flower. The guard is also not attached to the sword itself and is very clearly made of a cheap foam material. This part of the review is mainly just me being picky about the product itself and this was something I had already known before buying it, I just wanted to add in that the guard is not attached and more cheaply made than the rest of the sword. However, due to the price I payed for this product, it did not affect my review on the item as well as the fact that it does photograph nicely. I will however be buying a more accurate sword for display in the near future.

My son has destroyed all of his old Nerf swords and we have been looking for replacements for a while. When he saw this, I was hesitant as it looked firm and sharp, but he knew the anime the sword was a replica from and really wanted it. This sword is amazing! Even his16 year old brother is caught playing with this thing. It is harder foam then Nerf, so we have set firm rules about playing more cautiously. After three weeks the sword is all in one piece, looks great, and no one has gotten hurt. Ordering another from this company for friends/siblings to be able to play too.

Qualtiy is A+! For a foam sword, it's sturdy, the length is great, and the paint job is s p o t l e s s.It's metallic paint and it looks clean. It has a bit of weight and the heft is really nice. Sheath is tough and hard plastic, but it looks very good. I love it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a regular katana without the cut in the blade like Kocho's actual sword, but I'm a designer and I plan on cutting the foam off myself (easily done, and I can paint it over). But it's really great, I highly recommend it for cosplaying!

The media could not be loaded.  Product is very well made. Slighty wobbly due to its foam structure, but it is convention-safe.Comes with a strong odor, I believe it's the sealant they used for the paint.Difficult to get out of sheath, as it has slight foam insulation at the top to prevent the sword from falling out.Sword itself has great detailing. Colors are spot on, kanji looks good, grip is entirely rubber/foam so good durability.Sheath seems slightly off in color, as though it was originally black and painted over but needed one more layer.Overall a good purchase for the price though.

This is an awesome sword especially for cosplays

For the price it was great, it has a sturdy foam handle (the handle and the handle wrap is also foam) the blade is well made and is quite sturdy however the tip did break off, some super glue fixed it and now it’s fine, the tsuba (or handguard) however is very flimsy it’s a very light foam and easily started ripping as I was attempting to put it on the sword, would recommend staying away from it and buying a plastic tsuba

Out of the box, I was a little nervous but honestly I'm super happy with it! I wanted a foam sword to take to cons eventually and it definitely works. When you get it, the handle stopper needs to be pushed through the blade to the handle (basically just put together) and then it stays and it's perfect!!! Definitely worth the money, and it even came 3 days early!!! It's thick too so I don't have a fear that it'll break. Definitely recommend especially for con cosplays of Zenitsu.

Too small, nothing like what was said in the description. It said it's like 27 inches in length but it's just too small like a kitchen knife.
