ThinkGeek Officially Licensed Minecraft Foam Diamond Pickaxe

My family and I must have gone through at least 10 of these foam toys between the multiple swords, pick axes, and Axe we tried them all. At first they are great to play Minecraft battles with. But after some short sessions of battle time the toy gets visibly worn quickly. After a bit more of play the toy completely falls apart. the extended pieces of the pick axe have broken off and there is nothing there it help keep it's shape. The sword falls apart or in a few cases the rod holding the toy sturdy pops out from the foam. The same has happened with the Axe. I feel like due to the short life of these toys they should be at least half the price of what we paid for them. Very disappointing toy for a little boy.

I ordered this for my wife who collects the Minecraft memorabilia. All the colors on the axe are a darker tone, the very light cyan blue was a mid green color, the cyan blue edge was more of a dark ocean blue, the dark brown on the handle and tip were black and the brown on the stem handle was a very dark brown almost black. It smells like a volatile chemical and arrived with a crease in the "handle" as if it had been bent in shipping. The shipping took a month and it was not boxed or wrapped carefully, it was just stuck in a shipping bag. I would give an even lower review if possible. I HIGHLY recommend the product to be bought through a different seller or in person. I will not make this mistake again.

I should have done more research about this before purchasing. My son has a minecraft sword where the handle is plastic and the blade is foam. I was expecting this to be the same. It is not! It is all foam. I dont expect it to last that long, I would have returned it had it not been for a Valentines gift for him. We didn't have time to find something else.

Shipping took 4 days, was projected at 11 days. Thick foam. Picture is comparing the pickaxe to a Minecraft diamond sword I bought for my son at Toys R Us for comparison.. that sword has been well used lol but the colors are bright, foam seems more durable on the pickaxe! My son will love this pickaxe!

Love the look but we have been threw 3 of them so far. In the middle foam is just a very thin piece of plastic poll that keeps it from bending and if it breaks it will poke threw the foam. Also the pickaxe ends break off completely even with light play. We got these for my son to pretend to mine with and even with light contact on any surface and these start to break.

This product is not official as stated. It arrived in a plastic bag as opposed to the official Think Geek packaging and it was broken. The rod they used in the middle of the product was poking out of the top making it unsafe for my 5yo son to play with.

This product was sent to me by accident when I ordered the diamond sword. They seller went out of their way to make sure I received the sword. The sword was over nighted to me and my son had a really nice birthday. Very great pleasure to deal with this seller.

My son only had this toy for under a month now and it already broke. The wooden piece inside of the foam snapped in half and poked out of a the middle. My son LOVED this toy but it just is not worth the money.

I seriously don't know what it is. My nephew went crazy when he saw this on Amazon and then there was no turning back. Giving it 5 stars as he was VERY happy when the product arrived. I asked him what is it used for and he explained something which went over my head. Looks like he understands what it is.
