National Geographic The Photo Ark Limited Earth Day Edition: One Man's Quest to Document the World's Animals

National Geographic has been a classic publication sharing the world around us in vivid images and giving attention to the beauty and majesty we fail to stop and take in. As a nature lover, proponent of wildlife protection and one who has an unending curiosity about animals, I took a chance that this would be a catalog of photography that expands my journey into places I may never travel. The book did not disappoint.The images are outstanding. The subject matter interesting and informative. The content appeals to all generations. With the seemingly unending confines of the 2020 pandemic, our travels are limited, but this journals the unique, unending, amazement of creatures around the globe. Ordered this, as a gift, but it looks like I'll have to order another...this one is staying on my coffee table!Well done NatGeo!

Bought this book for a couple of kids for Christmas, they both loved it so much, the photos are so pretty, and it's so informative. perfect gift of a young person.

I first saw Joel’s work on display at a museum. The pictures were amazing and I couldn’t figure out how he made them look so great. I found him on Instagram later that day and have been following his work ever since.This book is BEAUTIFUL! It’s eye-opening that there are so many species of animals around us. And so many that no longer are. I hope that Joel continues this project to bring awareness to everyone that humans aren’t the most important being.

This book is gorgeous. They did a great job with the animals against white and black backgrounds to truly allow the beauty of the animal to take center stage. There's also sections with more information and stories. We bought this for our little boy who LOVES animals and we are excited how it is simple enough for small children, but also can grow with them and we can also enjoy it.

The pictures are amazing but it is sad thinking that many of these creatures are becoming extinct. Nice Gift

Había visto un documental sobre el fotógrafo Joel Sartore y su impresionante trabajo para confeccionar este libro, visitando reservas naturales y zoológicos a la búsqueda de animales en peligro de extinción. Quería plasmar la mejor imagen de cada uno de ellos y reunirlos en un arca, para que podamos saber cómo eran cuando, por desgracia, ya hayan desaparecido. Éste es el resultado, una maravilla.
