SHARKBANZ 2 Magnetic Shark Repellent Band for Swimming, Surfing, Diving, Snorkeling and All Ocean Sports

Got this for Christmas and on the first dive while wearing it, this huge reef shark came up to me and bumped me and refused to leave me alone. Thankfully I had my spear gun and long fins to fight it off. I wore it on my ankle and the shark never batted an eye at it. Do Not Buy. This does not work.

I am terrified of stepping on a stingray. I never have and hope these prevent me from ever having it happen. The magnet is strong so it should be stored in the box when not being used. Also while swimming in San Diego, the magnet picks up all the tiny iron pieces of sand. Kinda wild!

I surfed in murky waters and didn't lose a leg "yet". Told a buddy if I got killed by a shark to make sure you give it a bad review. Had a blue shark about 30 yards in front of me so either it works or he wasn't hungry

I have a surfing instruction business and use Sharkbanz 2 (We have 8) for all my instructors. These are great for deterring stingrays, as my instructors swear by them. Our instructors used to get stung by rays all the time before using the Sharkbanz 2. This device is awesome!!

I swim off the coast in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, California, where we have had numerous GW shark sightings this summer. Sightings have been of juveniles, appearing to be curious, with breeding grounds identified locally. So I figured these would be helpful in the event of any "investigative" encounter. Whether or not they work, I am alive, and I have enjoyed my swims these past few months much more, just wearing these. I wear my Garmin watch on right wrist, and then banz on each left wrist and right ankle (I purchased two). I am used to the size of my Garmin 920 XT and this is about the same size, and I hardly notice I'm wearing these. In my weekly swim group, typically about 30-50 people, I am usually either the only one or maybe one of two wearing banz. No one else seems too worried. Very happy with my purchase, and I will continue to wear these!

No sharks bit us...so that's good. Before wearing this, as an anklet, my child had "something" brush up against her (and sent her running for the shore). After she put this on, not a single thing touched her the rest of vacation. That was worth it for us. We all enjoyed the ocean a little easier.

so far so good with this Sharkbanz 2! I had an encounter with a reef shark and it works!

Didn't get bit. Maui, Hawaii has a lot of reports on bull shark bites so I purchased these. Made me feel a lot safer even though my gf runs out of the water because of a close encounter with a turtle.

I purchased this knowing I was going into the water to film 6 different shark species.The bands made absolutely zero effect on shark behavior.Also whilst fitting the strap onto my wrist the very first time the retainer loop for the unused length of strap broke, it simply split and is very clearly a glued joint.I purchased two of these and will be politely requesting a refund.I am currently filming underwater with Tiger, WhiteTip, Black Tip, Grey Reef, Nurse, Lemon Sharks and also sting rays, all at very close (Inches) contact. And whether wearing or not I see no difference in behavior, the sharks quite happily come straight in to my camera regardless of whether I have the band on my wrist or not.

I like the design, it's lite enough to not bother you when your popping up as i wear it on my ankle. I use it diving and wear it on my wrist and feel confident enough. Its resilient, easy to take off but I'm confident that it wont fall off. Over all a great product and haven't seen a shark yet".

I recently competed in a 4.6k ocean swim and wore my Sharkbanz 2 on my ankle due to local knowledge people telling me there were sharks in the waters I was to swim in. Had no sighting of sharks but was rest assured knowing I had this protection on my ankle. The actual device was of no hindrance to my performance in fact I completed the event 10minutes quicker than the previous year.

This product looks a great solution to not kill sharks. We need to cohabit with these beautiful animals and respect the environment.It is a bit heavier than I thought, but you barely noticed when you are doing aquatic sports
