Had purchased the smaller knockoff not really knowing much about it other than it looked familiar at a dinner venue. Upon research after seeing the runes, it sent me looking for a proper replica, as have been a LOTR fan since read the books 1st time in early 80s.This one seemed a bit expensive, but that old saying of you get what you pay for applies here.Showing the two together to show the difference in some knock offs. But am SO glad did more research and found this United cutlery version.The quality in mine is VERY good. Great leather wrapping and stitching on the handle. Do not see any real flaws that take away from it. The runes are done superbly. Very happy with the feel, weight and looks.I had bought the scabbard as well. Was worried from a few of the reviews, but mine fits really good!! No hangvups, no scratches, just a nice easy slide in. The straps also look of good quality leather.Very glad purchased the set and think well worth the money payed.

My wife gave me this for my birthday. It was probably the best birthday present ever! This sword is legit, it's the real deal! It is HUGE. I am a big guy, 6'2" tall. When I put the tip on the ground, the pommel comes up to my chest! It is quite heavy as well.The mounting plaque looks awesome and mounts easy enough. It keeps the sword on it securely. It comes with a certificate of authenticity (there is also a LotR logo on the blade right above hilt).The sword itself is just so amazing. It really feels and looks like it could have been the prop from the movies. It comes with a false, non sharp edge, except the point is obviously pointy. This should never be swung around indoors or by somebody who isn't strong enough to hold it out. If you swing this inside you WILL hit the ceiling, lamps, walls, couches, curtains, cats, children, TVs and whatever else is in the room. Like however big or cool you're imagining, double it!Also, take care that you do not touch the blade, or if you do, wipe it off before you put it back. The oils from your hands will rust it after a while.Such an excellent product. If you like Lord of the Rings, swords, weapons, blades, or awesome things in general, then you will LOVE this!

This is a fantastic replica. It feels and looks just like the real thing. I gave this to my boyfriend for our anniversary and I have never seen him so happy! The sword is top quality and is incredibly detailed. 10/10 will buy more from this company.

Beautiful piece, Great replica- the weight is realistic and well balanced, the engravings look very authentic, every detail from the movie is there- from the Angerthas Eregion inscription in the fuller to the tiny Tengwar inscription on the pommel, and the shipping was fast. (incase anyone was wondering- the inscription in the fuller says "Sun. I am Andúril which was Narsil the sword of Elendil. They will flee from me the thralls of Mordor. Moon." and the inscription on the pommel says "Narsil is my name, a mighty sword; Telchar made me in Nogrod.")Okay, so here's the thing. I spent days and nights looking at Anduril replicas on eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon because I wanted the most realistic copy I could possibly get at the best price. I even considered Dark Sword Armory's sword with a sharpened blade but 20%-30% of the details were incorrect (missing the sun and moon engravings, gold details on the cross guard and pommel, etc.) The details on this sword are outstanding; I've seen some terrible laser engraved looking garbage on the internet and this on the other hand has a nice deep hang engraved feel to it. I'm so happy I was able to buy this United Cutlery version of the sword for only $208 (after taxes and express shipping) and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a copy of Anduril. It is 100% worth its price, I'll be buying the scabbard soon.I have attached six images for reference as I spent many days on here pondering about the quality of the detail on this piece since a lot of the images I see here (as lovely as they are) don't give the fine details the full clarity and I am one of those people who get bugs under their skin if the detail of something is off even if it is unnoticeable by most people.

This looks just like Anduril from the Return of the King. It is huge, which I really like. This sword is something to behold. This was my first lotr replica sword, and I love it. The quality is amazing, as always with united cutlery, and I love the weight of it. You can just imagine what it would be like to wield this in battle for hours. Those actors had strong arms! Viggo refused to use the significantly lighter aluminum swords, so this is just what he was using. For any Lord of the rings fan, this a must buy! It looks great on my wall next to Sting. I do not have one bad thing to say about this sword. This detail on the handle and pommel is amazing. I have seen some complains about the "made in Taiwan" etching on the blade. This does not bother me in the least. There is a space, about an inch long, on which is engraved some things such as the lotr insignia, the sku number, and where the sword was made. If this very small thing does bother you, then simply hang your sword with that side facing the wall.The delivery was VERY fast. The box was in excellent condition, and the plaque was easy to assemble. The gold detail on the top of the handle is AMAZING. You will not regret this purchase. The plaque is very high quality and beautiful! Yes, the sword is not made for real battle, but that's not what I purchased it for!This is definitely a must have for any Lord of the Rings fans. Everyone I show it to is very impressed. It is a sight to behold! This is truly the flame of the west.

Got this as a decorative piece for my office. I had concerns it might not be an authentic replica or of poor quality, but I need not have feared; it's gorgeous, solidly constructed, and as far as I can tell a faithful reproduction of the blade from the film. And full-size, too!
