it worked fine, and I was happy
I bought this to replace the belt on my Yard Machines snow blower. The model number off this belt is 754-0101A which is a direct replacement for the 11 year old original belt for my snow blower. Installing it was a snap. There are just 6 bolts holding a side cover on the snow blower. I removed the 6 bolts and threaded the new belt over the pulleys, making sure that the tensioner was in the correct position. When I first started the snow blower, it worked fine, and I was happy. I replaced the original belt late last winter, so I only got 2-3 uses out of the snow blower. So far this winter, I've used my snow blower twice, and the second time, I had noticed that the auger was getting jammed really easily. While my snow blower isn't exactly top of the line, this was now the 12th season I had it, and it rarely jammed before. I'd clear the jam and it would work for a while, then jam again. It was getting worse and worse, so I took the side cover off to see if anything had happened, and then I could clearly see that the belt was extremely loose.I checked the pulleys and the tensioner and everything was in the correct position. When I activated the auger level, the auger would engage, but I noticed if I put even the smallest amount of snow into the auger, it would jam again. When I released the auger level, I could clearly see the belt was flopping around. I took it off and compared it to a spare I had bought originally and I could see this belt had stretched out significantly from a new one. So, I got maybe 6 uses out of this belt before it became so stretched out that the tensioner could not adequately tension the belt to put the full torque of the engine to the auger. This was why it was jamming so easily, the belt was slipping and only transferring a small portion of the engine's torque to the auger. So, in a nutshell, this belt must be really low quality and is prone to stretching after only a few uses. Maybe I got unlucky and the other one will work OK, but I have a feeling the replacement will stretch. I am going to have to find a different brand belt and hopefully that one wont stretch after only 6 uses.

Perfect fit - easy to install
The belt was a perfect fit and was easy to install once I figured out the proper routing over the pulleys on the MTD snowblower. Although it comes with no install instructions, the belt goes over the large pulley first, then over the drive (smaller) pulley. It then goes under the pulley that engages the auger. You can see this pulley moving up and down when you move the bail on the handle to engage the auger. Finally there is a brake mechanism near the large pulley and the belt slips under the brake. I hope these instructions will save someone some time if you have never changed the belt. Mine was completely broken so I could not see the original routing.

A Low-Quality Replacement
The description picture shows a PIX product, which is a reasonably good replacement for Truflex belt. What was delivered was something entirely different, which I guess would be a replacement for the replacement. The width and depth of this belt is larger than what it should be, which would make the installation difficult. The belt itself is very stiff, which could cause traction problems.

Snow blower belt
Received pretty quickly. Item barely fit on my snow blower and was too thick to put the cover back on. Not sellers fault, not sure why it was thicker than the other belt. Had to go to Lowes and get another. They were the same product description, number but the Lowes one was thinner and fit perfectly.

100% incorrect part.
Despite what the description says this is NOT a replacement for *ANY* MTD part number. The belt is both too short and too thick to fit any MTD snow blower.

Super heavy duty belt
I purchased for a snow blower that was given to me and that was all it needed. The belt was easy to install and is nearly bullet proof, and should last for many years to come.

Fits perfectly!
I have an older MTD snowblower, Tecumseh engine. The belt fit perfectly, had me up and running in minutes. Looking forward to trying out the Kevlar compoments!
