This mermaid bank painting kit is the perfect gift for little girls. We ordered 2 for our 4 and 7 year old daughters. The bank is made of a lightweight plastic but it sturdy enough that it will not easily crack or break. It was carried around (and dropped) for several days by our 4 year and is still on one piece. The paint colors are bright and the kit came with 2 brushes, a small brush and a larger brush. We also appreciated the variety of paint colors that came in the kit. They were able to use their creative imaginations to create the perfect mermaid.

I gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday and she loved it!!

Daughter (8 years old) and I had a lot of fun painting this. We just started getting into these paint your own models. Did quite a few already. To paint the eyes on this one was really hard if you don’t have a fine detail brush. I think the vendor must have used some kind of sticker for the eyes in the photos 😂 anyway I liked this one so much almost bought one for myself to paint 🤣A few things that I learned is before you start painting the model with color, you should paint it white first as your base coat so that when you start painting it, the paint won’t be as streaky. You might want to get some miniature detail brushes for the tiny areas. The brushes that come with the set are okay but I found that they tend to curl after a few uses. If you are going to apply another coat of paint, wait for the first coat to finish drying so that it won’t be as streaky and it won’t be like you are mixing the colors together. For the paint to look nice on the model, you might need to add like 2-3 more coats. I purchased a set of 24 acrylic paint bottles in case the paint pots didn’t have enough paint. As for painting, sometimes a little can go a long way. You don’t need to glob the paint on the paintbrush 😂 I also purchased the US Art Supply 36 metallic acrylic paint tubes set on Amazon. Love this set 😊 will do a review on those as well. For any mistakes, you can use white paint as an ‘eraser’. If you are painting over a dark color like black, you will need at least 4-5 coats of white paint to cover up the mistake. Happy painting!!

It was cute

This was packaged amazing. It came with the paint, paint brushes, stickers and little diamond stickers for decorating. My 8yr old loves mermaids and i needed some for her to keep busy while i studied. She stay quiet and did a great job. It dried pretty fast and she loves it even more because she painted it all by herself. I would 100% order again.

I was excited and nervous about this coming to my house. I worried about the mermaid being broke, pieces missing, or paint getting everywhere in the box. I was happy to see everything in the box was in perfect condition when I peeked inside the box when the package arrived. My sister told me that my niece loves it and was planning on adding the stickers and stones/ crystals the next day. I told my sister I might order another one if my niece wants me to, if she enjoyed it that much.

I should have looked more closely I didn't realize it was a cheap plastic material. It's okay.

My 8 yr old g-daughter and her mom will have fun painting this. For best results paint it all white first. Paint the next day. Cute keepsake.
