what is the width of the two-tier storage shelf and is it removeable?

The middle shelf is easily removable and is not needed for any sort of support. I removed it and used the middle section for my desktop PC, it works beautifully.

how high is the top of the desk from the floor, and how deep is the desk (back to front)?

It is 30 inches from floor to top of desk and 23 1/2 from front to back
