Let us Java- 5th edition

A very good book for Java. It’s easy to understand and practical to practice which is very important.

If you are expecting a high intense programmer book you will be much disappointed, this seems to be a much beginner guide for java, most of the contents are re-hashed from Let Us C, if you have read C book this might not provide much value add.But it does deliver what it promised, a basic beginner guide to Java, may be good for first-time programmers, imho Kanetkar is better than Head-first Java, most of the programs are running without issues, there are no mistakes, or typos, like Let Us C, book is quite comfortable for a rapid reading, u can finish this book in a week-end, thus I mustn't regret buying this book.Professionally it delivers, but hopefully Kanetkar will write a book on advance java, I have a feeling of left hanging in mid-air.Important Java changes, like generics, threading, type-erasure, collections, Lambdas functional programming constructs are not either covered or discussed in depth, unnecessary coverage of swings and JDBC is added, has no useful purpose.I learnt Java 1.1 through Java in a nutshell, there is unfortunately no such concise guide for Java best option is to read Kathy OCJP. effective java & then read Java lang spec, This book can be used as a replacement for Head-first Java.

It literally has everything covered from basic to intermediate level …best for beginners and most recommended…I had ordered the 4 th edition but the 5 th edition came to me and it’s latest 2021 and it’s awesomeeeee

Pros:Precise and Beginner Friendly.Easy to Understand. Author has not used big jargons.Cons:-Numbering of pages in the index page is wrong.Some Questions are wrong.
