I’ve bought these combs before and have again, not because they lacked quality, but because I want a comb for every bag I carry, as well as a set for the bathroom and my bedroom. These combs are excellent quality, never snagging in my beard or mustache like cheap plastic ones do. Interesting that this time, instead of the previous plastic containers, they came in thin, but elegant paper containers where you pull the upper tab out to reveal the comb. Each has a new name: the R7T is now The Apsley; the FOT is The Richard; the 81T is The Freddie (as seen in the picture.) I’m not a history buff, but I imagine these to be names of former and current royal family members. The combs come with a display of “The Many Combs of Kent & Sons,” 27 in all (as seen in the picture - each of whom I imagine is a member of the royal family.) Kent & Sons is on the other side with no cursive KB emblem. Though it adds or takes nothing from the quality of the combs, I like this little twist to their design.I’ve never disliked these combs. Their golden emblem will disappear over time, but this does nothing to diminish their quality. I highly recommend them and, if I ever misplace one, it will quickly be ordered again!

These Kent combs provide the best compromise between feel and durability. They are very well made.I have used good quality horn combs in the past for my beard. Horn is the absolute best for beard care, however,it is extremely brittle. If you drop a comb made of horn it will likely break, losing a few teeth. They are like a fine bone china plate, extremely fragile. Once teeth go missing the comb will damage your beard. Combs made from plastic are not brittle, but they are cheaply made and have very tiny imperfections that will snag on your beard. These Kent combs are the best of both options. They feel almost like they are made from horn without the fear of shattering and losing teeth if dropped. Yes they cost considerably more than a plastic comb, but that is the wrong way to consider this purchase. Kent combs provide the almost perfect finished smoothness of a quality horn comb without the brittleness. You should also consider that you receive three different combs useful for their own purposes. One combo comb with wide and narrow teeth for that first grooming of the day. One smaller comb with narrow teeth to take with you to use during the day. And a tiny mustache comb.If you are convinced that you are never ever going to drop your comb, then get a horn comb. But if you do drop one it is almost certainly going to break of some teeth. Then it must be replaced. Horn cannot be beat for beard care. But these Kent combs are so close to the feel of horn that it is difficult to notice the difference and if you drop one it will not certainly break. This is not to say they will never break, just will not certainly break as would a horn comb.

I realize that many gents don't initially see the value of paying more for a tiny comb that's more expensive than a 5-pack of generic plastic combs at the local drug store. Well, let me tell you that once you try one of these little, hand-polished acetate beauties, you'll never want to go back to a regular plastic comb again!The acetate material is sturdy, yet flexible, and the precision saw-cut teeth have rounded, perfectly polished tips. The result is that the comb glides through your moustache and beard effortlessly, detangling and styling as it goes. The size is great for quickly touching up shorter beards on-the-go, but it works absolute wonders for styling, training, and maintaining a moustache!I have attached a picture showing the comb's size relative to a typical tube of "chapstick". Combined with a tube of the original Burt's Bees lip balm, which is just pure beesewax and some natural conditioners like lanolin, my moustache styling kit fits perfectly in my pocket and keeps my 'stache looking great all day long!So, why did I take one star off if the product is so good? Because, at this time, the title states "Kent Set of 3 Combs (81T)", yet I only received 1 comb in the package (from Bayside Brush Co.). Even with just one comb included, it is still an excellent price compared to the same exact comb sold at a premium by other beard product brands. Nonetheless, a "Set of 3 combs" should be just that, and since they are so small, my plan was to store one in my car and also in my travel bag, so the extras would have been nice.All in all, this comb is a true game changer for dedicated moustache lovers. Definitely worth keeping one in your pocket!

Solid product.It's easy to look at the price and say "Who spends that much on three combs?" when you can buy a bunch from a dollar store for a fraction of the price. The second you hold these things in your hand is the second you'll understand why. These are absolutely worth the price difference as you can feel the build quality both in your hand and when you use it in your hair/beard.I mostly purchased this 3-piece set for the mustache comb. I was concerned that I may not like the size of the smallest comb so I bought the three piece set to be sure I had something I could use.Despite my worries, the combs are solid and the mustache comb is not too small (at least in my opinion)It's literally the size of three U.S. quarters. If you want to get an idea of the size before you purchase, line up three quarters and you'll know what you're getting. (I've included a picture for reference)The build quality and the feel of these combs on your hair is absolutely worth the price difference.• The combs just "feel" right. You hold these in your hands and you automatically know the quality is higher than the average drugstore comb. You're not being screwed over for a product marketed as being of a higher quality. You feel the difference.• The three piece set is perfect for most of uses. The largest comb is great as a hair comb while the smaller two pieces are solid beard and mustache combs. I carry around the smallest comb as my "to go" mustache comb.
