I needed the help of a friend to install this but doing it carefully meant that we managed to put it up quite easily. It just requires space to be able to extend the net and then be able to place the rope around the border of the net. Once that is in place, it is easy to handle. Once installed it looks absolutely great, the quality is really good and it is completely transparent - I can hardly see it. I love how it looks, and I am relieved knowing that my cats are safe in the balcony!

Here is my honest view of this product.I bought this product for my balcony, which is a reasonable size, for my kitten as I live high up.When you take it out the box it’s hard to tell which way is the correct way to install it. The red ribbons don’t exactly help with this at all, and it needs to be stretched out so you can figure it out (quite hard when you live alone). The lack of instructions regarding the correct way to install it as well doesn’t help & I couldn’t find any guidance online either.The issue I have with the product is there are two triangular corners, one at the top corner and one at the bottom, of the product which means it isn’t exactly the correct shape for a balcony (mine is a rectangle). So when trying to install the net, you have two long pieces which don’t make sense for the shape and don’t reach properly end to end.I managed to get it up after about two hours of trying to fix it into the correct shape for my balcony. However, again the issue being it doesn’t complete a perfect rectangle or square. I had to trim off the edges of the long triangle parts and gather up some of the top in order to make it fit & still have a small gap along one of the sides.In terms of sturdiness, it works pretty well however my kitten has tried to chew it a few times and I think any cat would be able to chew through the net. Material is probably very easy to break.Positives are, it’s very stretchy and a good size. You can barely see it which is great and it has kept out the pigeons and that tend to fly on my balcony. Also comes with rope and zip ties as well as hooks which is great for installation.I’m not sure if it was user error or just a design flaw but I would advise getting the bigger size and just cutting off what you don’t need to it can fit your entire balcony properly. You probably will need another set of hands in order to put this up as well. I am only 5ft 1 and struggled to attach it all by myself. I would also suggest using the rope to put it up at first and then secure with zip ties after when you’re happy it’s put up properly so you don’t waste the zip ties.Overall it is fine and has done the job, only issue is the shape. Hopefully it lasts long enough to keep my fur baby safe.

I bought this as a reliable extension for basic use, but unfortunately my kitten has already started chewing through the cable, which raises serious concerns about the durability and safety of the product. I would have expected a tougher cable casing, especially from Amazon Basics.It’s not pet-safe and could be dangerous for households with animals. I’ve had to stop using it and am now looking for a more pet-resistant alternative.VERY Disappointed overall — and would appreciate a refund or replacement with something more robust.

The concept is great but the pieces are such irregular shapes to begin with that it's difficult to install as the edges aren't straight to begin with. We've faffed around for nearly 2 hours and cut bits off and it's still not right - great idea but the actual material piece isn't good.

We bought this net primarily for use above a glass balcony. The glass is about one metre high. You can see through the net so that the view is not spoiled and we do not need to worry about our small kittens jumping over the balcony.Exactly what we needed!We also used a spare bit of net on a wrought iron garden gate. The kittens pushed their faces into the net and we therefore had to secure the net in lots of different places so that it held tight to the wrought iron. I also stuck some cardboard at the bottom to deter them further. This has worked and the kittens have given up on any attempt to break through it.

Despite some reviews it’s quite easy to put up. Looks super safe and you can’t barely see it. Loved it and will test with my cat soon

Unfortunately not safe for cats - spend an age installing and making sure it was safely secured. The cat tore a hole in it the first night it was in place. A waste of time and money for me I’m afraid.
