I’ve tied several different ones hanging up lights outside. It was very easy to set up. Connects well with easy instructions if you aren’t sure how it works and the durability is great for higher winds too. It’s not super thick to the appearance is minimal.

Good supplies in the kit. Hung string lights in the backyard and it worked great. These wire rope clips are better than other kits I’ve used. These clips are basically a double clip so the wire really won’t slip loose.

All the parts needed were included.

Did what I wanted it to do - hung strings of patio lights. The cable is the perfect size. Coating is consistent and seems durable. Doesn't slide easily through metal hooks (maybe a little grease/vaseline would help). Turnbuckles aren't high quality, but they work. I'd recommend it.

I've never liked the idea of having the electrical cord also be what supports the weight of a string of lights. So a kit like this it's absolutely necessary for installing lights. It also lets you pull them tight without damaging the lights. This kit was easy to install and worked well.After having the lights in my yard for about a year, a huge tree came down right through the lights. The support cables from this kit were of course ripped down. But the lights were nearly undamaged! One bulb cover dented where it was under the 30" diameter tree trunk. But the wires were completely intact and still work.I'd buy this kit or one like it again for sure.

Great for hanging string lights, especially for reaching longer distances from hanging points. Adds extra support and great for places that snow and might weigh your string lights down. I've had these up for a couple of years now in a snowy area with absolutely no issues.

Used this kit to string lights across the top of a covered patio. It had everything I needed to get them strung up properly, what some of the pieces were for was a little confusing to me but mostly from having no experience properly mounting string lights before. I used to just drape them on whatever would hold them or just use little hooks. But they sit so much better on a proper mounting wire. They also feel a lot more secure. My only ding was the fuzzy directions but finding tutorials on youtube helped a lot.

Overall good set. Horribly cheap and undersized screws that broke up the very first mount install. Had to use some trusty drywall screws instead. Strongly advised especially under high tension
