Works great! Replaced dimmer switch after 2 years of use. Lights started to flicker so thought why not try regular switch, great idea! Very easy to install as it doesn’t matter where neutral or hot wires go as long as ground wire goes on green screw. Just be careful because there are 4 screws on switch: one green ground, one black and two interchangeable gold screws. You’ll need just one of those gold, one black and the green ground. The other gold is for three-way installation (2 switches that control one light). Don’t have that setup on my light so one gold one black and green ground was all I need!!!

I didn't want to buy different switches so for pennies more I bought everything as a 3 way switch. You can easily wire these for regular operation by only wiring one side of the switch. Makes it a lot easier than trying to decide which switch you need to finish the project. I changed my house from almond colored plates and outlets to white, these were the same quality as I was removing and 35 years newer, way to keep your products value Leviton!

Leviton is an old brand name associated with high quality electrical products and it is good to see it is still made in USA. It says on the package that the Country of Origin is USA. You can see the stamp for Made in USA in the pictures. I installed them with no problems, the switch action is very good, and the price is a bargain.

OK, just to let anybody who reads this, know, I am NOT an electrician! So my review/opinion may NOT BE nearly as valid as someone who works with electricity/electrical parts professionally! I know just enough about electricity/electrical parts to fix SIMPLE electrically-related problems, as in this case. A light switch at home quit working, so instead of hiring an electrician, I replaced the switch myself. So with that being said, I had a relatively easy time replacing said switch. But during the installation process, I did get "mildly" shocked a couple of times, which stemmed more from how inexperienced I AM to working around/with electricity & was NOT caused by the switch, itself, at all. And actually hooking the wires to the switch, was fairly easy & the switch currently works! (NO pun intended). So if you're an "amateur electrician", such as me, then you shouldn't have any problem(s) with these switches! Just be careful, with that electricity tho! Or it'll GET YA, like it did me!!!

If you're going to replace your current builders quality stuff, do it with Leviton consumer grade stuff. It's not top shelf, but it will last forever and you won't have to question the build quality of the part as electricity surges through your walls.

I needed to replace two switches. First replacement was fine. Second replacement had a defective hole such that it would not engage the screw for the switch cover. Score: 2 switches good, 1 switch bad, 3 unknown (did not try to use). Unclear from box where it is manufactured. Mentions Mexico, Canada, and U.S.
