Le Peril Jaune

I became a fan in 1982 when I saw Indochine performing L'aventurier live on TV. I was the only one who knew about this great band of all the people I knew and I even got the Nicola Sirkis haircut:-) between the release of Le Peril Jaune and 3eme sexe. I knew some French, but just sufficient to get a grip of what the lyrics were about. But the truly unique thing was their stylish image in combination with great music. This record has a lot of good songs, the big hit of course being Kao Bang. However, this is one of these albums where the songs grow for every listen. My favourite tracks are La Secheresse du Mekong and A L'est de Java, but all tracks form some kind of unity together. I highly recommend this CD for those who are curious about french music and like electronic music. At this time Indochine still had a totally unique style, so it can't really be described referring to other artists and styles.

This is the second album of this awesome 80s French band, still full of the SE Asian motifs that were a trademark of early years of Indochine. Absolute highlight is "Kao Bang" which is the name of a province in Vietnam.

Ho 54 anni, però ho "scoperto" gli Indochine 3 o 4 anni fa (sono brasiliano e negli anni 80 i gruppi Pop Rock internazionali che faccevano successo di là erano quelli che cantavano in inglese). Da allora mi sono documentato riguardo la loro storia e discografia.E' il secondo loro vinile che acquisto (il primo è stato L'aventurier) e ho già in mente altri.Personalmente lo trovo molto bello e lo consiglio a chi ama la musica degli anni 80 come me.Per il resto, la qualità audio è pulita come quella di un CD, ma calda come quella del vinile.Per la consegna, ancora una volta, nulla da dire, è arrivato prima del previsto.

2e album d'Indochine.Je découvre seulement ce groupe et cet album en 2015, et oui !!!!Même si cet album est inférieur à l'aventurier, il se laisse écouter sans difficulté.

Comment dire, il n'y a même pas de traces de doigts sur la pochette, inutile de dire que les experts seraient bien déçus! Bref j'ai rédécouvert ce vinyle perdu dans un déménagement, et il est impec, le vendeur rapide et soigneux, merci!
