I recently purchased a Schwinn Meridian tricycle with 26” wheels. It did not fit in my shed, so I looked for a cover that would protect my trike from the weather, since I would have to park it in my patio. This Formosa cover fits perfectly and has two bungee hooks in the lower edge that allow me to keep the cover attached snugly, should the wind try to blow it off. So far I’m happy with its level of protection from rain. It has rained twice this week and my trike stayed dry. I live in Miami, FL, and it rains a lot here, seasonally. It takes a few minutes to put the cover on correctly, but it’s not terribly difficult. I like that it has a label inside the cover that says “FRONT”, because I couldn’t tell, initially, which side was which. I also like that this cover came with a drawstring storage bag, because that makes this lightweight cover easy to store and transport for use at one’s destination. I intend to cycle to work, where it will be parked outdoors all day. I’m happy to recommend this cover, based on my experience so far. I’ve only had it about 3 days.

I have a second floor walk up apartment, and there is no way I will be hauling my trike upstairs so I had to find a place to lock it up outside. I live in Florida so the weather is brutally hot, lots of sunshine, and lots of rain. I have had to buy a second cover to replace my first which lasted almost a year. High winds are very rough on this cover. They make it rub against the basket on the trike, and the brake levers wear holes through the cover.I extended the life of the cover by getting some stick on patches that were meant for tents. And I also got some tennis balls and cut little holes in them so that they would cover the brake levers. I got some foam that covers pipes to protect from freezing, and put an edge all around the basket. I expect my second cover to last longer with these added protections.Oh I also watch the weather reports and if high winds are forecast I take the cover inside for a day or two.The cover has done a very good job protecting the tricycle. The price of the tricycle is a lot higher than a cover so I would prefer the cover deteriorate in the weather than the trike. I try to keep the chain oiled and the wheels, and I polish the chrome and the frame with auto wax. When left out in the weather these go away quickly, with the cover the protections last a lot longer.Putting the cover on can be awkward at first. What you have to do is develop a system. I store the cover in my basket when I’m riding and I fold it in there in such a way that I can unfold it to recover the trike. One thing that is a little awkward is the cord that goes under the middle of the trike. I have trouble reaching under and across to grab it. So I tied a long cord to it with a weight at the end. Then I just toss it across under the trike, and grab the cord and pull and then I can easily reach the cord and hook.

This product does not fit like it is shown. The bike was measured so this cover should fit but it is very sloppy on the bike.

I have not yet used the Formosa, lightweight adult tricycle cover! However, I learned one lesson from my first try at covering the tricycle! If you are almost ninety, the tricycle is scrunched between a wall and a automobile, and the wind is blowing - well, there is just no way! I put it back in the bag, and the box to wait for a better day and a little help - and missed the possible return date! At this point, I plan to return the tricycle to the friend who let me use it - with the brand new cover riding in the basket! As for the review, I do believe the cover is everything as advertised and I wish others well in covering up their tricycles with a 5-star "Lightweight Cover."
