I was hesitant to buy this based off other reviews. However, I am glad I did. It is very sturdy and matches our front porch well.Assembly was easy for me and took about 15 minutes, but I can see how other people may have more problems. I suggest having a rubber mallet to fully seat the joints. I suspect the other poor reviews were because they failed to hammer in the mortise and tenon joints and that's why they structurally failed. The directions do not mention this which could be a problem.All in all, I am happy with the product.

DO NOT BUY. This is a terrible bench. First, the instructions are terrible - a lot of guesswork had to be done to get it set up, pictures are incorrect and incomplete, no wording in them at all. It is very unstable, it has a sway left to right, it needs better stabilization. Who tested this? An 80 pound 4' person? It came scratched up that I have to add some stain and varnish to clear that up. If you do buy this, bring a rubber mallet as most of it is pieced together by pushing sticks into holes, and they must be seated correctly. Like others have mentioned in reviews, I would love to return it, but once it is setup, how the heck am I going to take it apart and return it. Also, get some extra wood screws - they are needed in places that it does not have holes in just to keep it partially stable. I do not feel this bench will last more than a few months, then it will end up as a $260 pile of firewood. Ugh. This is one reason that I have issues with buying on Amazon. If I would have seen it in a store and sat on it first, I would not have purchased this.

Easy to put together. Beautiful just smaller then what I wanted. I just wished it was bigger

A girlfriend and I quickly assembled the product with ease (could be done alone just as well). I have gotten compliments on it non-stop on my front porch. It is the first thing people notice even against my beautifully remodeled home.

I bought this on Prime day, so it was on sale for about $155. It's maybe worth $55.The good? Assembly was easy despite really bad instructions and no photo of it on the box to refer to. But if you're even marginally handy and possess logic, it's not hard. All you need is an impact driver or drill with a phillips head bit and a ratchet with a 14mm socket. And possibly a rubber mallet and chisel (see "the bad" section). Also, it's really cute. It looks nice.The bad? Well, for starters, some of the pieces didn't have number stickers on them so it took some time to figure out what was what. The instructions didn't mention which side to have the screw holes on when assembling the legs, so I slapped it together, only to find a couple steps later that I needed to rotate the center pieces, so I had to go back and re-do those pieces. Even with all that, getting it all put together only took 30-45 minutes. And then I began the last step - seating the back into the seat. The hole drilled into the seat for the back to slide into was off by about a 1/4", so I ended up having to chisel away at one peg to get it to seat. It took me longer to get that squared away than the entire rest of the the assembly.After getting it seated and everything properly tightened, I sat on it. It's wobbly as heck. There's literally nothing else to tighten, so there's not much to be done about it. It's also very small. It's supposed to be a two-seater, and if it's two kids, that'd be fine; but two normal sized adults are gonna be VERY cozy sitting on this thing together. Also, the back is really short. It hits me mid-back, so it's not very comfortable at all. Granted, I'm 5'10", but that's not freakishly tall or anything. I think if you're super short, the back height would be fine, but if you're tall or even average height, it's not going to feel great. Lastly, when rocking it, it seriously feels like its going to tip over backwards.Overall, it's cute, but even on sale, it's overpriced for a rickety, under-sized, poorly machined, sketchy rocker. I'd return it if I had any desire to disassemble it so I could...but I've wasted enough time on this thing. I'll chalk it up to lesson learned, won't buy from this company again, and I'm posting this review so hopefully someone else won't have the same disappointment and frustration.

The double rocking chair is good looking but the wood is very soft, I'm not sure what species of wood is used, but it seems to me it will be weak. I read some of the other reviews and decided to take the advice of others and use a rubber mallet to set the pieces together firmly. I took it one step further and used carpenters wood glue in all the joints during assembly. Only time will tell if the wood is strong enough to stand up to rocking. One other thing is that the back rest hits you right across your middle spine and is very uncomfortable while rocking. Perhaps a pillow will help.

Very happy with this purchase. Perfect for our outside front door area. Husband had no issues putting it together. Took advice in one of the reviews and used wood glue to secure the pieces together firmly. Has a nice rocking motion. Seat area is comfortable. The left snd right seat as a slight dip to cradle your bum comfortably. The back is the right height. Beautiful wood colors. Great value for your money. A nice outdoor piece of furniture used fir “decor” plus we can now drink our morning coffee outside facing the front road and say hello to our friendly neighbors. (We just moved to a new province and home a month ago). Our house has the modern farm theme so this is perfect !!

We bought this for the deck of our log cabin, everyone who sees it compliments us on it, Had a bit of a smell at first, but it’s outside so that dissipated quickly.
