These are awesome. High quality
These are awesome. High quality, shiny steel with a very nice heft. The carrying case is nice too. I've used them camping and kept adults entertained and laughing and getting to know each other for hours with these things. We made teams and after everyone's first tosses, used a coin to mark the spots so the next team could use them, thusly engaging a lot more people into the game. The game went from campsite to grass to gravel to bushes, etc, and was great fun for hours. I bought them to recreate the fun I'd had when I was similarly engaged with someone else's set, years ago, on a multi-family camping trip, and I am SO glad I did!

The Large Balls Are A Good Value For Practice
First, I purchased these with my own money, no discount. This review is for the large boules. The small balls are just a novelty. I have a competition set of boules from Obut. I needed some target boules to practice with and Obut boules start at about $90 a set of 3. These were $26 for a set of 6. These are not competition boules, they are for casual play. I will add pictures after a few games of play. They come with basic rules in English, French, and Spanish. They also come with a string to measure distance (not very practical), a target ball, and a carrying case. There 3 sets of 3 matching balls. I knew this when I bought them but it does not affect my usage. They should really have 2 sets of 3 balls. A typical game is 2 teams of 2 players where each player throws 3 boules. You can also play with teams of 3 where each player throws 2 boules. This set only has 2 of each boule so if you wanted to buy 4 sets of 3 you could not do it by buying 2 of these sets.Another reviewer mentioned that the cochonnet (or jack, the target ball) is hard to see in the grass. These weigh 733 grams, about 26 ounces each. A typical French terrain (court) is made of finely crushed gravel. The boules need to be able to roll. Most grassy areas will be too soft, the ball will stop very close to where it lands.ProsPriceComes with the cochonnetHas a caseConsShould be 2 sets of 3 matching boules, not 3 sets of 2Casual play only

Good value
Very nice set. I was not disappointed. The carrying case is not all that sturdy but over all it is good value for the money especially if you are just messing around in the back yard or the park.

HELP
I received this really nice set today. I want to learn the game. I don't know what the difference between these balls and $70-90 balls.

Fine for beginners
Quality is just ok, some of the striped markings to identify are inferior and missing on some sides of the odd ball or two. There are some divets in the balls. Delivery was early and it was well packaged. The case is decent , wooden jack can be painted to make it more visible for gravel pitch. I just wish it was a better quality set. I just got them so I will update review after several games.

Well worth the money!!!!
Well worth the money. Nice set. The patterns are different (3 sets of 2). The weight is good. If the patterns bother you and if your a professional player then dont bother. Honestly theses are perfect for weekend games. Having a blast with them.
