Pimsleur Italian Level 2 CD: Learn to Speak and Understand Italian with Pimsleur Language Programs (2) (Comprehensive)

I love the Pimsleur language system - I bought Italian I from Pimsleur directly (at a much higher cost!!) and loved it. But then I remembered how Amazon offers better deals and ordered Italian II from them. I started learning Italian in January and in the 4-5 months I've used the tapes, I am very satisfied with my level of conversation. And friends I speak Italian with are impressed with my progress. It is a very good system which I recommend highly. I take the CD on the bus with me and listen while commuting. I also listen to the tapes on my lunch hour and on long car trips. You have to take the lessons regularly so that the language is fresh in your mind - there is alot of repetition which is great so you get used to the words and sentence formations. Regularily is key to progress and I find that I took 3-4 lessons a week in Italian I and 3 lessons a week in Italian II as it covers tenses of verbs and is a little more complicated. But I love that they don't push down too much new information so as to be overwhelming - they give you just enough with each lesson to learn without being discouraged. It's a good system.N.O.

This is an expensive learning cd set but is very helpful in aiding to learn the language. nice package and good shipping.

It helps you to understand Italian conversation. When I went to Italy, I was able to get engaged with Native Italian into the conversation, and I was so proud of myself to speak and understand Italian. My next language to learn is French language by Pimsluer. I just listen 30- 45 minutes everyday, and I learned new language.

The Pimsleur method of language learning works for me. It's based on listening like we learn language as a child instead of grammar like we learn language in school. This is my second transaction with Language Secrets and they are terrific. The products are just as advertised and arrive quickly.

The method seems to be a logical way to learn a language. You are not, however, going to learn it very quickly only doing 30 minutes a day. They suggest that you proceed to the next lesson when you've responded correctly 80% of the time. For me that can take 3 tries. They do say you can do the same lesson as many times as you want in one day (but not a new lesson) so I've been doing the same lesson 3 times a day at different times throughout the day. Still I think it's better than trying to memorize words and verb conjugations. Think about it. How did you learn your native language? Listening to your parents talk and repeating it.

So far I love it , its very challenging as compared to level one. The price was fantastic, and it came in perfect condition. Very quick delivery too ! Thanks , see you for level 3 when I get there !

This is a great product that met all of my expectiation. I have used the Pimsleur method to learn other languages and I am always pleased with how well Pimsleur works. If you are willing to put in the time you will be very pleased as well.
