This is a really nice clock which actually exceeded my expectations after reading all the reviews. Battery installation was not a problem, and I found the workmanship to be of excellent quality for a plastic clock. It looks great on the wall and was a perfect replacement for the clock that had been there for the last 20 years. Nice large clock face that is easy to see from a distance. Yes, it is a bit more pricey than a lot other similar clocks on Amazon, but as they say, "You get what you pay for". One needs to pay close attention to the listed size of some the cheaper clocks. Many of them wind up being smaller than you expect. I learned that from the first clock I purchased, which was not big enough to fill the space on the wall, and the face was too small to read comfortably at a distance. This one, however, is the prefect size!

The clock is actually very beautiful. But in transit, it was broken. They have advised me a new clock. Work is in process of coming to me and I will be excited to receive it.

It is lightweight and more beautiful in person! It is well worth the money and i especially liked that it is different and modern! It is one of my best purchases!

My library walls are dark chocolate brown and this silver clock 'pops' off the wall. It looks very nice, has that 1930's art deco look. Have had it about 6 months now and it's keeping excellent time. Makes a very gentle tic-tic sound (barely noticeable). Easy to read from 15 feet away. One note of caution - when it arrived it had a magnet that fell out and we had a devil of a time figuring out where it was supposed to go on the clock. Without it being in the proper place, the pendulum won't keep swinging. We finally had to call the manufacturer, then we super glued that puppy in place! Pendulum has been swinging ever since.

Howard Miller Gwyneth Wall Clock was intended to replace my older Bergen Wall Clock.It's expensive, heavy, and classy, but the clock face is dark, and cannot be seen in reduced illumination.I'll keep it, but for all those who consider this wall clock, please be aware.
