Took off the old one and replaced it with this one myself and works just fine now for several weeks.

Not for original Nintendo Switch
The plug I was sent is the one for the OLED or Switch Lite not for the original Nintendo Switch. The original has longer pins for the back row, this has the shorter pins of newer Switches.

dont bother with this, the problem is the motherboard
My switch had a fault in the charging circuit on the motherboard. If there is no physical damage to the USN-c Jack then it is likely that. Send it in to Nintendo for repair $116 american when you are past warranty.
