Hands down, the absolute best picture framing wire. Flexible, strong and easy to work with. Produces professional results at an affordable price.

This is a smartly designed and quality product, even down to the spool itself. The vinyl covering protects you, protects the wire from oxidation, protects the walls, and prevents fraying. The wire is strong, easily bends, and stays put despite being vinyl coated, and ties off securely twithout the need for clamps. I'm guessing it could probably hold more than the 60 lbs claimed, and your hangars or screws will likely fail before this wire does (but I would stick with the seller's weight recommendations anyways).The spool doesn't unravel when pulling off wire, and is equipped with a handy feature that secures the cut end left on the spool to prevent unwinding when you're done with it, and so you can quickly access the end for the next use.Finally, we found the price to be reasonable, especially considering the positives just mentioned, and with so many of its competition lacking in similar quality and features, with some even costing more on a foot-by-foot basis. This product actually holds up to the claims.

Great quality for framing my artwork! Easy to use.

This a fantastic product if you do your own framing! The wire is coated in a nice thick pliable plastic so it won’t get rusty. It adds a subtle layer of luxury to any custom framing job. I think the spool will last for several years.

Using this wire for hanging art work. Easy to bend and cut!

I've used a number of different types of framing wire, and this is by far the best. It's actually so nice that it's a pleasure to work with it.

This is the absolute best wire for hanging art unless you have REALLY heavy pictures. The plastic coating keeps you and the buyer from cutting your fingers from those pesky little tiny wires twisted in those other kinds of hanging wires that you can never quite crimp all the way when you cut them. This spool even comes with very clear photographs as to how to bend this wire back on itself so that it won't come undone, for those of us artists who never quite mastered the surgeon's knot necessary to secure traditional framer's wire. I, however, was very disappointed in the packing job, as this spool comes with two holes along the edge so that you can twist the cut end back into them. My spool came broken on both sides because of the packing job...:( The wire isn't going to unravel like a spool of thread, as the wire is stiff, but that's why I only gave this product 4 stars instead of the 5 stars it deserves. Come on guys in the packing department.... get your act(s) together!

A good product at a decent price

The wire is flexible and reliable for protecting the artwork from falling off the wall when installed properly.

Holds heavy frames

I did try #4 but for my purposes I found it would be too light BUT my review applies to both #4 and #5 (just different weight bearing). Have tried several hanging wires and honestly nothing touches the quality of Softstrand with vinyl casing. These wires are flexible and easy to wrap by hand (protective vinyl casing makes a huge difference) and extremely durable. A final pinch with the pliers to close off the end and voila! My paintings and framed photos say "thank you" as I have no concerns about the wire being too weak, fraying, snapping. Customer service is oustanding. Highly recommend - and remember this wire is worth the slightly longer delivery time.

Great for hanging paintings

I was buying much smaller rolls from my local art supply shop and decided to look elsewhere when I started to use all the time. I really like the quality and feel of the wire - it’s coated - and there is a lot in the roll so it should last me a good long time.
