Good guitar good price!
Great value guitar. Pick guard was a little scratched up when delivered but other than that it’s in great condition. It will definitely need a set up some intonation issues. But overall plays and sounds great.

Great affordable musicman.
Fantastic guitar for $279. I love the color. I’ll be switching the pickups out for something better but it overall the guitar was setup well right out of the box since it was inspected in California. Great budget strat that is worth more than what I spent on it.The basswood, hard maple neck and laurel fretboard gives this guitar this raw sound that could probably be improved with better pickups.Edit: I’m keeping the stock pickups. These sound really good. It has a lot of spank for funk and blues if you know how to attack the strings.I have it set up a whole step down. It spanks and it gets real dirty. It’s so bad I like it. It has a lot of highs with very good tone and volume pots to dial it down..10-.49 tuned a whole step down sounds so good. With all the bends I do this thing stays in tune and feels great.*Edit 07/30/2019: I just recently acquired a 2015 Ernie Ball Musicman HSS Cutlass. Playing both side by side...I have to say I’m pretty impressed by these sub-series Cutlass. The pickups aren’t as dynamically responsive as the real Musicman but it’s pretty damn close. So far I’ve had minor issues with the volume pot missing a nut which lead to a loose knob(still loose even with a replacement nut) and the tuning mechanism is decent but not as smooth as something like a Grover. It keeps in tune but just like the volume knob it feels like it’s falling apart so I had to tighten the screws. The fretboard is okay for the price. Don’t expect it to be anywhere close to an actual music man. I can’t get my action as low as I would like it because of the uneven frets.I like these music man sub series. Guitars from Indonesia has gotten much better from what I remembered over a decade ago. For the price, I wouldn’t mind buying it again, but you might need to straighten adjust the neck, relief, and tighten the hardware.I know I said it played great right out the box, but because of my recent acquisition of some expensive guitars...it plays okay in comparison. The pickups, pots, and switches are really good quality though and it stays in tune. Everything else is okay.

The 22nd fret came, out of the box, coming off the fretboard. The high E string occasionally gets caught by it. Also, the fretboard is warped by one of the screws. It's a small bubble, hardly noticable, but these flaws really should've been caught if the guitars are being inspected in California. The guitar plays and sounds great, but the flaws are disheartening considering this is a $300 guitar and I've seen plenty of $100-200 that have better quality control.

Great buy for the money
Picked one of these up as a guitar I could just leave at my office at the church where I work, thinking it'd be something good to practice on without having to drag a guitar to and from every day. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed by how easy and comfortable this guitar was to play. It sounds and feels better than a lot of what's out there in this competitive price point, and I actually liked it so much I intend to use it this weekend in a worship set.A thing to note, and why it didn't get 5 stars from me: the intonation was pretty noticeably off past the 12th fret. Nothing I couldn't fix myself, but could've also been an easy fix before it passed QC. Overall, really happy with my investment! Definitely give this one a try!

Crushed shipping box. Buzzing frets on all strings. Nicks in various places
Action was so low that every string buzzed. The frets were like sandpaper and bending was impossible. Do not buy this guitar unless you are prepared to have a setup completed before playing. Pickups sounded great for the few minutes I played it. Box arrived with two footprints around a large hole in the box that clearly made contact with the neck. Several nicks in the pickguard and fretboard. Returned immediately.
