Mobile fortress over freedom
This is a very well-built case. I really enjoyed the overall design and heftiness. I chose the all-white version, just my preference. The phone slips into its purple mattress of a bed and is then sealed in between two metal frames that is its chamber with no need to ever be removed. All had fit nicely. I say this in the past tense as despite me wanting to enjoy the case, as it provided quite a bit of relief to the overall protection aspect of the device, it does this so much so that cellular signal is hampered, as is the case with the majority of these heavy-duty tanks.I'd say the case is most good for individuals who live where cellular (data) signal is optimal (3 or 4 bars on the 4G LTE network). For individuals who live in more rural areas, using this case may bring you back to the 1x network, that's a step below 3G. I'm connected through Verizon and my phone most often times connects to the Verizon networks 13 band. Its the band designed to stretch far and wide for many miles penetrating many obstacles to keep you connected on the network even in remote areas or dense buildings. However, when it comes to this case, although I had 4G LTE in the city limits, that suddenly changed when traveling out into the woods where I live. I'd usually get 1 to 2 bars on the 4G LTE network. With this case protecting my phone, I was suddenly taken back to the 1x network occasionally. At times I would also go in and out of the 4G LTE network, and then 3G. Such a shame, because I really liked the design, wished it was offered in lighter materials such as a hefty plastic. For now, I will stick with the low-profile, non-drop tested cases.I haven't had an issue with the fingerprint reader, I assume this may become an issue for several users and multiple screen protectors in the coming days as Samsung tries to resolve the issue revolving around screen protectors and the biometric sensor security dilemma. The screen protector is a separate layer of the case and will need to be applied as you would tempered glass, however, I do believe this is some sort of film material. It does not leave glue residue on the screen when removed. Which leads me to my next point. Perhaps not pictured, but the protector does include a hole in the screen where you would use the biometric fingerprint reader. You must effectively smooth out the glue in the circle to create a seamless bond so that the waves can penetrate through allowing the fingerprint reader to work. The circle is barely noticeable when viewing content on the screen, however not so much when the screen is off or displaying dark or noncontrast like motion pictures. The screen protector does diminish the quality of the screen, adding a sheen to it, but hey I guess it's protected. I would have never gotten the case had I known this type of screen protector was included. I'd rather a screen protector that is continuous, with no holes, regardless if it cuts out the thumbprint reader function or not. I thought the hole would ruin the display, but I must say the two or three days that I've used this case I've become accustomed to the hole in the screen.Another issue I ran into was that I believe the sensor that detects when you hold the phone up to your ear does not work when the phone is in the case. I've observed that the screen remains lit, and can be manipulated when brushed up against your face during a call.Other than that it is a well-built case, most certainly for users who do not already have to worry about iffy cellular reception or users who do not rely on a data connection in remote areas (google maps etc.). I've not had any calls dropped with this case, and all cameras are fully functional as intended.

Great heavy duty case but too shallow for screen
Update: Reduced to 2 stars. I have learned that this case has greatly reduced my signal strength. I did not consider the effects the aluminum would have on the signal strength when I purchased this case. As long as I was outside, I could get decent signal, but as soon as I stepped back inside I struggled with reception where I would normally not. Oh well.I purchased this case for a Samsung Galaxy S10+. This is a great heavy duty case. I was actually shocked as to how heavy the case itself is, but it is very sturdy. The biggest issue I have with cases for this phone is the curved edges. Even the high end cases I used to swear by tend to break out in the corners and even caused a previous phone screen to crack. I work in a very dusty industrial environment and rely on my phone heavily for photos and information, so I also need a case that can protect my phone from the environment.I like the rubber grip around the sides and the back, and how solid this phone feels compared to the past few cases I've used for this phone. The wireless charging works with no issues which is a plus at work as I have a wireless charge pad at my desk and can just place my phone on the charger as needed without having to plug it in.What i didn't like: The screen protector included in this purchase have me a lot of trouble with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The protector has a patch that fits over the sensor, and if there is even the tiniest air bubble trapped, the sensor has trouble with fingerprints. The other issue, and the full reason for 3 stars, is the sides are too shallow for the screen. The top and bottom of the case rise up over the screen quite a bit and provide great protection for if you happen to drop your phone face down on a flat surface. The sides, however, do not rise above the screen. I didn't even have this case on for 24 hours and busted my screen because I leaned out over a support rail at work without realizing the glass was pressed against the rail in my pocket. You can see the 2 impact points from the corners of the square tube rail that has busted my glass and rendered my fingerprint sensor completely unusable.

This thing is a brick. Heavy and strong.
I've dropped my phone from 5-10' a few times ontos hard unforgiving surfaces like tile and bare cement (I'm clumsy hence the need for a metal phone case) and it's kept my phone from getting so much as a scratch. The rubber plug for the charger port is starting to feel a little flimsy and I feel like it may fall apart after enough time, but it's not bad yet after a few months. One of the screws did fall out at one point, but it comes with spares. Some of the red paint has chipped off, but not a lot, just don't keep your keys in the same pocket. It adds a bit of size comparable to an otterbox and a ton of weight. I've never held a phone that weighs more, but I see this as a neutral fact not an advantage or disadvantage. If anything it makes me feel like it would stand up to some punishment.

Solid AF
This case is solid, and heavy. weighs a total of 13oz, but I feel good about my phone's protection. The matte red looks great as well. Two things that I didn't like. First, the screen protector that comes with the case is a POS. It cracked while I was trying to put it on. I don't use the fingerprint scanner, so I can't give a review of how well the protector works for that or not. Secondly, the back of the case is mostly rubber. This is great because it keeps the phone from sliding around easliy, but if you wanted to you cannot put a pop socket directly on it. Just won't stick. I've seen where some popsockets come with a clear film you apply first and then put it on so there are options.
