Worked well for one year, but now not so well.
I use this in my classroom to monitor the noise level. I like the upgraded model that counts the number of red lights. I use the number to take away minutes from free choice at the end of the day. Works well and keeps the noise level in class at a minimum when necessary. I do wish however that this had a few more Higher level sensitivity settings. The amount of noise that it takes to make it work seems a little bit loud in the classroom.Update: I have had this product for over two years now and the it takes more and more noise to make the red light go on. I only use the colored lights now. . Not the sensitivity levels.I had a previous version of this for about 10 years and it worked perfectly the whole time until it just stopped working and that’s why I bought this new one.

Classroom volume control
The speakers on the Yacker Tracker are not very loud but it did have a way to connect speakers. I would like to use it without something else connected to it.

Bought it used and it didn’t work.
I’m sure if this was purchased new there would have been no issues. However, I bought this used for my class and there was no 9vdc adapter included. The batteries had corroded that were in it and we had to clean it out. Tried a new set of batteries and it just didn’t seem to work well. Had to keep resetting it. The buttons didn’t seem to work right. I couldn’t change decibel levels. We even tried various adapters and it didn’t work at all. Again, the unit I bought was USED. It may not be the fault of the manufacturer but the fault of previous owner(s). Very frustrating because it was still pricey used.

QUIET PLEASE
This is a great additional to the classroom. This is VERY light, I thought it would have been a bit solid for the price, it's very hollow.Voice recording playback is very distorted.

New and improved!
I have used the original yacker tracker and the kids loved it...until one of them knocked it off the table and broke it. I'm excited to have this upgraded model and can't wait to use it next year.

No happy
The batteries were bad and the back of the machine where the batteries goes we’re stripped and had to be broken to get off. I won’t purchase another one!

The tracker works great but the remote control is not working at all. Not a big problem for me. Though it would have been nice to get one that worked.

Great product but ths green light is constantly flashing like it is going to burn out
