This is a really cute toaster! That's my first impression. It's cute! I love the retro style and the lovely blue color and chrome. It came complete with a guide showing pieces of toast at different settings, I tested this and found the toaster to be stronger than the guide claims. Setting three offered results that looked more like setting 5 in the instructions. But I suppose that is to be expected, depending on bread type and such.I think you just have to get to know the toaster before you can trust it, but that's no surprise. It toasts evenly and now that I've gotten more used to the controls I'm pretty happy with it. Plus, it's just so dang cute. There are two slots, they measure 1.8 inches by 5.7 inches. I LOVE the built in cord storage! Loose cords are my pet peeve! So thoughtfully designed there. Finally, there is a crumb tray which is a really nice touch. Love that I can empty the tray instead of shaking it over the trash can every few weeks.Definitely recommended if you're in the market for a toaster that is cute like Smeg, but won't cost your whole paycheck!

I had gotten another toaster from Amazon a little over 3 years ago and while it was still working, it was extremely hard to get the toast right, so something was not working with it and it was time to get another. I have a blue and white kitchen and so this toaster is really pretty in this kitchen environment as it is a soft baby blue. It is simple to use and what I really like is the chart that comes with the instructional manual that helps you gauge what setting you need to put the toaster on for the browning that you like of your bread. They also tell you that different breads have different moisture levels and that some experimentation will need to occur to get the toast right based on the type of bread. The crumb tray is easy to locate (at the back) and easy to take out and clean. I also like this one because there is a regular size slot for bread and a wider slot for bagels. There is also a defrost setting for frozen items. I will be happy if this one lasts as well as the last toaster I got from Amazon because it is an item I use a lot. It does not take up as much room on my counter top as the last one did and I am also happy about that. I have to say that I like everything about this particular toaster!

This toaster isn't great. It's really nice looking, and the buttons and selector knob are high quality...but it really ends there. If you want edible toast, you can only select a setting in the 1 to 3 range. Any setting higher than 3 is too brown or burnt. I toasted 3 slices of bread until the toaster automatically popped them up. (I timed the duration of each setting. See photos). Setting 6 was definitely burnt. The middle setting (3.5) was very brown. Setting 1 was barely toasted. I don't think the heating element adjusts its intensity when you change the setting. I think the toaster just keeps it in there for longer. I'm sure most toaster work that way, but this one doesn't do it very well. It might be good for frozen food or bagels, but I only used it on toast.I gave the toaster 2 stars because it really does look great and the buttons are nice. When I got it I was hoping it was a retro aqua color like my other kitchen stuff, but it's definitely baby blue.

Yes! appliance colors are important! This is a beatiful aqua blue with chrome for a retro look. Very simple dials with wide slots. If you read the directions, it's for bread only - not for any toaster pastries ( do people still eat those?)I've used it 4 times now and it works fine. I have only had 1 toaster that toasted evenly every time I used it, and that was a toaster I bought almost 40 years ago for $9 at Walgreens! Hah! That thing lasted forever. Since then I've had high priced Cuisinart, Black and Decker, and now this Keemo ( a brand I have never heard of) This one toasts fine but somewhat unevenly whenever it feels like it. Sometimes it's perfect, the next 2 slices you toast are unevenly toasted. Not a big deal, but why is it so hard to get a decent toaster? This one works fine for now, I just wonder how many years it will last. If I get 4-5 out of a toaster these days I consider myself lucky.

This is an electronically controlled toaster. Push the lever down and the toasting starts. Push the cancel button to finish. It has a defrost function that starts off slowly to defrost your bread/bagel, and then finishes with the toasting. Toasters are something of a commodity so you're probably looking at this because it's cute and the color matches your kitchen tile or other small appliance colors. Does it work? Yes. The only gripe I have is that the starting point for smaller loaves of bread leaves the bread just about at the level of the top of the appliance even when the toast has popped up, making it difficult to grasp the toast. This is less of a problem with standard Wonder Bread sized bread.
