Dock-n-Talk may not be for everyone
We haven't been happy with this product. We're using it with a Motorola VU204 and it doesn't always sync up when we return to the house. He have to power-off the Dock-n-talk so it'll reboot. This usually works but sometimes we have to turn the Bluetooth off at the cell phone, turn it back on, and then they are able to talk to each other. It seems that the Motorola protocol doesn't quite match the Dock-n-talk protocol. Maybe your particular cell phone will work better with it.

Phone Connection Intermittent
I've had the Dock-n-Talk for over three years and like the concept but have one problem. Most times it works like advertized. But every two to eight weeks it loses the connection between the phone and the box. Incoming calls don't cause the house phones to ring so the call rolls to the cell's answering system. Outgoing calls don't work through the box either, but at least then we realize the system needs to be reset. The reset is simple but we've missed quite a number of calls over the years.I use an older phone that connnects by cable but I've seen in other reviews that the same thing happens with the Bluetooth version. We replaced the phone with a different one of the same model but we still have the probem. The phone support guys said to just keep resetting the phone. Duh.

Dock N Talk
Worked very well once I got it installed. About this time I also found out about the MagicJack and purchased them. Currently using them instead of the Doc N Talk, but still retain it for back up.

Beware: Proprietary Bluetooth or cable required at extra cost
Although other reviews report ability to connect and be operational within minutes, they didn't mention that the Dock N Talk must be connected to the cellphone by cable or Bluetooth, neither of which is included. Moreover, it will connect by cable to only a very small percentage of the "compatible" cell phones, and the cable must be purchased from Dock N Talk (at unknown price as it's not offered on their web site). To connect to any of the other "compatible" cellphones, the Bluetooth adapter is required -- again at unknown price as it, too, isn't offered on their web site.Bottom line -- don't expect to hook this up and be on your way. For most phones, Bluetooth proprietary adapter is necessary; for a few, cable is needed.I can't comment further because I've returned the unit. I don't deal with people who deceive me.

Works well, but I would not buy it again.
We moved into a new house and skipped the landline. This is a very good alternative. we primarily use it with my wife's cellphone (will only work with one at time). However, I would not buy it again because it will not support more than one phone at a time and the real rub is that the bluetooth module really should be included. without it, the cost/ benefit is really not there. You have to drop another $70 on the BT module. The unit is pretty cheaply built, so development is about all the cost in this item. There is no reason to not include the BT module as a standard, built in feature. I would think they would sell a lot more of them and possibly be more profitable in the end. Development is a fixed cost, and the more units sold the better...

bad sound quality
The quality of the sound was bad.did not function well. Perhaps it's use is really limited and not suitable for all locations

Did not work. Phone labs wants $30 to upgrade firmware to make it work
I like the unit, but it does not work. I contacted Phone Labs and they were responsive. The told me my unit needed a firmware upgrade and I would have to ship the unit to them and pay a $30 fee. I do agree with having to pay additional fees on a new out of box item to get it working!! This looks like a bait and switch deal to me. I am sending this back, and I am going out to buy a wireless Panasonic phone base with link to cell for about the same price!!

I'm well satisfied
Good audio quality. Dependable. I'm using it with the Bluetooth module and an Apple iPhone. I am well satisfied.
