MotorGuide 940200110 X3 Freshwater Bow Mount Trolling Motor — Cable Steer, Foot-Control — 45-Inch Shaft, 70-Pound Peak Thrust

Just bought the product and found out that it really works better than my 12 volt. It has a lot of power and be sure to tie it down. It wants to jump up out of it's bolted stand. It has a strap that came with it, use it. 24 volts works much better.

This was installed on my 18 feet pontoon boat. Very strong, very solid. Two negatives so far is the foot control is very stiff (had to use both feet) and the arrow on top of the motor pointed a different direction than the motor actually moved. . I googled the problems. The pointer was an easy fix and there is an adjustment under the pedal to adjust the stiffness. . I am a very common sensed guy and very mechanical. Both of these problems would have been major to someone who is not.

This replaced a motor guide that I had for over 20 years. This model is an improvement over the old unit. The MotorGuide name means quality to me!

Perfect replacement to my motor guide trolling motor. Shopped around and Amazon had the best price and was cheaper than Bass Pro. Shipping was super fast for being such a big and heavy item.

The price was right for this trolling motor. It is quiet and and easy to steer. I wish it had the variable speed rather than just 5 settings, however for the price difference I can live with it.

It's a pain to install the provided bolts as the socket to tighten the bolt doesn't fit on the bracket. Bad design for installing bracket. Also the motor mount clamp is real pain to tighten. Motor power is good. But the hardware that can with it is not up to the mark.

It says 12v but it's 24v and no where did I read in the add it was cable steer #junk
