I’ve gone through a lot of cables that have failed at the phone port end due to the stress of the cable being bent while I hold my phone while it’s charging. This adapter not only redirects the cable to the side, which is less stressing to the cable, but also has a 2nd port if you want to use your earbuds, the cable of which is directed to the other side. There are only a couple minor issues I have with this adapter: 1) while charger and earbud cables can use the same phone port, the adapter doesn’t work that way...there are markings for the headphone side and the charging side and it doesn’t work if you don’t have things plugged in the correct place...but you can plug it in upside down if you want to change the side your cables are directed to, and 2) the dimensions of the adapter are not always compatible with phone holders. For example, I can’t use this adapter with the holders I use in my vehicles. This isn’t really a problem because the cables don’t require redirection when the phone is charging in the car holder. I got one to try and liked it so I got a couple more...for another iPhone and an iPad. They’ve worked great!

Works exactly like its supposed to! Very comfortable for my hands. Only issue is that lighting end that plugs into the phone needs to be a tiny bit longer. why? well with some cases it doesn't reach far enough to the connection. no case obviously makes a connection. my moment case, wont reach. my speck case, doesn't connect all the way but its long enough where its secured, wont fall out and working properly.

this headphone jack adapter didn’t work at all. i intended to use it to charge my iphone in the car while also plugging the phone into the car’s auxiliary sound system. the charger port worked but not the headphone port. i tried it every which way. returned it! i bought it bc i thought the reviews were high, but it seems so many of the reviews posted here are for different items and unless you read through every single one you’ll be misled. learned my lesson!

This doesn’t work well! Of course it lets you charge and listen to stuff on your phone at the same time but it takes hours upon hours to charge your phone when it takes 30 minutes to fully charge without it. I wouldn’t recommend.

I'm sick of dongles breaking and loathe iphone for doing this crap to us. But if you have any case on your phone, esp an otter case, it won't fit its too short. I also had trouble getting the plugs into it, something I've never had with any other dongle.

It’s a neat piece but makes a buzzing noise when both are plugged in, I mean the headphone jack and power plug. Have to find a better adapter

If you have a case on your phone, you have to remove it in order to use the adapter. But it stopped charging after about two weeks. (Once a day usage.) I can still hear while using the adapter but it no longer charges my phone. But what do you expect for the price? Buy only if you like disposable technology.

Sort of works as described, sometimes you have to restart the phone or turn on airplane mode for a few seconds. Does the job if you done have Bluetooth
